What exactly IS Tendinitis? 🤔
Tendinitis is a common condition where inflammation and irritation of a tendon affect the range of motion and basic function of a joint.

• Symptoms •
Recurring pain, stiffness, and inflammation; typically felt just outside the affected joint.

• What Is A Tendon? •
Tendons are thick fibrous cords that attach muscles to bones.

With so many tendons in the human body, tendinitis can affect a wide range of joints—from major compound joints like the shoulders, elbows, wrists, and knees, to smaller structures like the heel or fingers.

💥 Hip impingements can be broken down into two categories based on symptoms, severity, and tissues affected!

☝️ Deformed Femoral Head:
• Ball part of joint is more oval-shaped (vs. round)
• Creates excessive friction in cup of the hip joint
• Wears down the cartilage that cushions the joint over time
• Leads to increasing discomfort caused by inflammation
• Can put the individual at increased risk for arthritis

✌️ Abnormal Acetabulum:
• Deformed cup/socket part of joint covers too much of the femoral head
• Increases friction at the edge where the cup connects
• Can cause pain, swelling, and recurring complications from chronic inflammation

*Both:
• Rare
• Can severely affect mobility and cause inflammation
• May put the person at high risk for developing arthritis complications
