Empowering Everleigh Everleigh Grace has transitioned to hospice care šŸ’• She has fought since January 2024 against Aplastic Anemia and now GVHD after a bone marrow transplant.

This is her story and our fight.

Camping and Hiking ā˜‘ļøā˜‘ļø

The rain held off last Friday afternoon so we could get out to Hitchcock Nature Center for camping in one of there cabins!

We decided glamping is as roughing it as we want to do. And Emery was up at 4am to experience every time of day in nature šŸ˜… BUT it was so fun to make sā€™mores and be on observation tower as a storm rolled in from Omaha. We are excited to go back to hike more when the leaves start changing.

Camping and Hiking ā˜‘ļøā˜‘ļø

The rain held off last Friday afternoon so we could get out to Hitchcock Nature Center for camping in one of there cabins!

We decided glamping is as roughing it as we want to do. And Emery was up at 4am to experience every time of day in nature šŸ˜… BUT it was so fun to make sā€™mores and be on observation tower as a storm rolled in from Omaha. We are excited to go back to hike more when the leaves start changing.

Get you a friend like Chelsea!! She saved the day šŸ›¶ Thank you Nishna Valley YMCA for going above and beyond what we could have asked for. From a sign in the lobby to snacks at the pool it was incredible. We also got to join skate night and Ev finished with the massage chair. Truly SO fun!

Backstory: We went to Okana in August knowing it was an inside waterpark and an outside lagoon. We went mainly for the outdoor waterpark and had a room over looking it. On the way there we found out the outside would be closed for the entire time we were there. The girls and probably mostly me were so sad.

We even talked about staying three more days so we could see it open on the weekend, but Evs knees and body couldnā€™t handle it. We had an excellent time and were ready to come home. BUT Ev was so she couldnā€™t do the Wibit course in Oklahoma.

Enter Chelsea to save the day. I knew her pool had one and asked if we could pay for them to set it up so Ev could use it. She so gratuitously said they would do it and more and we wouldnā€™t have to worry about anything or pay. Beyond grateful for great friends that move mountains for our girls.

Get you a friend like Chelsie!! She saved the day šŸ›¶ Thank you Nishna Valley YMCA for going above and beyond what we could have asked for. From a sign in the lobby to snacks at the pool it was incredible. We also got to join skate night and Ev finished with the massage chair. Truly SO fun!

THE LORD SHOWS UP šŸ’•

Emma (my sister in law (I know confusing)) and I went to the Nebraska State Fair to see Phil Wickham and it was a God moment. As soon as we walked in the gates Emma found friends she knew but didnā€™t think we would see. A few minutes later those friends called saying they had meet and greet tickets for Phil and they wanted to gift them to Ev and one more. We rushed over knowing Lilly wouldnā€™t be able to meet him.

I let Ev and Emma go because I knew Lil would be so sad. We went and looked at the alligators and then got a call saying they had two more tickets. We rushed over and got in line. I still donā€™t truly understand how but I know the Lord saw us and blessed us beyond what we could have hoped for.

It was the most beautiful night of worship with my daughter who is Homesick for Heaven and on her way soon šŸ’•

Sugar Fluff has been such a treat! We got a golden retriever puppy on the way home from Oklahoma. She is so sweet only problem she loves to chew on Evs feeds tubing. But the snuggles she gives makes it okay.

She stood the whole time šŸ’•

A few weeks ago at church I noticed something when we were almost done singing. Ev stood for the whole worship time. That is not a usual occurrence around here anymore. Her body is getting weaker and she needs to rest. Sometimes she sleeps through church. But that day she stood and sang to the Lord the whole time. What a gift.

Excited to share updates soon! Itā€™s just been really hard to show up in a space Where youā€™re told you donā€™t belong I donā€™t know how you fit into the puzzle.

I wish these organizations saw her treatment plan and saw how much we had suffered as a family over the last three years and took that into account. ļæ¼
