There are a few plants everyone should have at all times. Yarrow is #1!

Yesterday while recovering from a long flight, I accidentally cut myself with bread knife. It was bleeding really good! I immediately apply pressure, send a kiddo to the garden for yarrow, he bruised it for me and applied it.

Husband has time to throw on his shoes and to the clinic where he does the paperwork. ER would just cost 5times as much for anything they did. We have a emergency clinic for a small co-pay. They don't even look at me funny when I use herbs.

So past the boring paperwork, I get and plea the papertowl off covered with blood. Nurse leaves the yarrow on it for the doc. I them it's antimicrobial and stepic, if I take it off not sure much it will bleed.

Happily it stopped altogether, soaked my finger in their special soak for 10mins, it was holding together every well. I can see where comfrey would be the next step to seal the wound if there was clinic for stitches.

Doc numbed it and gave me 3 stitches.

Yarrow stopped bleeding which gave me valuable time to handle whatever comes next, piece of mind from sense of control, no victim here.

Everyone needs yarrow! From skinned knees, bloody noses, or cuts.

Breaking (Bad) News: Kentucky Becomes Third State to Bow to Bayer-Monsanto. Senate Bill 199, sponsored by Senator Jason Howell (R-District 1) and co-sponsored by Senator Craig Richardson (R-District 3), passed the State Legislature on March 19, 2026. SB199 steals Kentuckians' constitutional rights by providing a legal shield to pesticide manufacturers, giving pesticide makers immunity from lawsuits when their products cause harm. SB199 was delivered to Governor Andy Beshear's desk and he did what was right, vetoing the bill on March 31. But Bayer's puppets in the KY State Senate and House moved quickly, marshaling enough votes to overturn Gov Beshear's veto on the same day. The KY Senate veto override passed 24-12, with 6 Republicans crossing the aisle to join all Democrats to stop the veto override. The KY House veto override passed 56-32, with 13 Republicans voting with all Democrats. But it wasn't enough to stop the overturning of the veto. SB199 is now law in Kentucky. Kentucky joins North Carolina and Georgia in taking away the rights of its residents for the benefit of foreign pesticide corporations. Absolutely shameful. These legislators must be voted out.

In a betrayal to all Americans, President Donald Trump issued an Executive Order (EO) titled “Promoting the National Defense by Ensuring an Adequate Supply of Elemental Phosphorus and Glyphosate-Based Herbicides” on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, which instructed our federal government to protect and increase the local production of glyphosate-based herbicides, and provided Bayer-Monsanto a legal shield, immunity from pesticide-harm lawsuits.

Thousands of you took part in actions that we launched the next day 1) demanding that Trump reverse his EO, and 2) urging Congress to use their authority to rescind the EO.

Your voices were heard.

A press release issued by Representatives Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Chellie Pingree (D-ME) announced a bipartisan, co-sponsored bill, HR 7601, the “No Immunity for Glyphosate Act.” The bill would rescind Trump’s EO. Specifically, HR 7601 will:

Prohibit the use of federal funds to implement the Executive Order, preventing federal agencies from using appropriated funds to administer or enforce the directive; and
Affirm that glyphosate manufacturers are not immune from civil liability, ensuring that manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers cannot claim immunity under the Defense Production Act, federal contractor defenses, or other federal authorities, while preserving the constitutional right of injured individuals to pursue claims under federal and state law.

The bipartisan bill’s original co-sponsors also include Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA).

Please take action now urging your Representative to co-sponsor and pass HR 7601. We cannot let the President’s egregious overreach stand. Taxpayer dollars must not be used to increase production of toxic, carcinogenic glyphosate-based herbicides in the United States. And Bayer should not be given immunity when its poison products cause harm.
