Eating seasonally is one of the simplest ways to improve the quality, flavor, and variety of your diet.
Tonight’s dinner started with a trip to Pickett Produce for fresh golden beets, beet greens, strawberries, and kohlrabi. We paired them with shrimp, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar for a simple meal that was packed with flavor, color, fiber, and protein.
Menu:

🟡 Roasted Golden Beets
🍓 Fresh Strawberries
🌱 Beet Greens
🤍 Kohlrabi
đź«’ Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar
One thing I love about seasonal eating is that it naturally encourages variety. Instead of eating the same vegetables week after week, you’re working with foods that are fresh, locally available, and often at their peak flavor.
A big thank you to Pickett Produce for providing such fresh, high-quality local produce. The strawberries, beets, and kohlrabi were outstanding.
Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s simply combining fresh ingredients, a quality protein source, and enjoying what’s in season.
