As we move forward with unifying our organizations, we're dedicated to keeping you updated on our progress. In addition to all the steps needed to bring our teams together, we're prioritizing opportunities for people from both organizations to connect and build new relationships. We're on track for our September 1, 2026, unification date and are grateful for the collaboration and dedication of our teams.

Recent highlights include joint celebrations: The Arc Madison Cortland's Staff & Board Appreciation night at the Syracuse Mets game, and ACHIEVE’s 71st Annual Dinner Dance & Award Ceremony, where Perry Courto, CEO of The Arc Madison Cortland, received ACHIEVE’s first-ever Unity Award for his leadership and commitment to inclusion.

Looking ahead, employees and the people we support will soon get to vote on the new name for our combined organization. Stay tuned for the announcement in July!

We also invite you to join our upcoming virtual Unification Q&A sessions on Wednesday, June 24. These sessions are open to the people we support, family members, staff, board members, and community members interested in learning more about the future of our services and communities. Last week, we had an exciting visit with Jacob from Ray Brothers Barbeque. Jacob came and showed our folks how to deconstruct a rotisserie chicken to make some yummy sandwiches. They all enjoyed getting their hands dirty with the cooking demo and eating their BBQ chicken sandwiches afterward!

🎶 Tuesday night, we had a full house for another successful Spring Concert with The Arc, Oneida-Lewis! Everyone enjoyed patriotic songs and dances to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States. The Sunshine Choir, Wind Dancers, Mighty Fortress, and Stage Works all did a fantastic job. We can't wait to see what's in store for next year!

This past Saturday, The Arc Madison Cortland celebrated our staff and board at the Syracuse Mets' Metropolitan Club. We are so grateful for the dedication and commitment they show to our organization, and the people that we are honored to serve. ⚾️💙

The Mets ended the night with a win against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, which was great bonus! We also want to give a special thanks to our friends at ACHIEVE, Laura Thompson (Chief Operating Officer), and Brittany Gaynor (VP of Residential Services) for joining in on the fun. Thank you to everyone who makes this event possible, year after year!
