STC staff from the Hamden and Oneonta offices recently volunteered with Delaware Opportunities. They spent time in their community, preparing meals and cleaning to support the Senior Dining Program. This provides activities, social opportunities, and dietary support to local seniors. The day was filled with hard work, meaningful conversations, and lots of fun!

Volunteering in the community is an important part of the work we do at STC. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time!

Congratulations to Connor on his artistic achievement!

Connor was recently chosen to participate in the Fenimore Art Museum’s Young at Art exhibition. He submitted a drawing of himself and his dad in front of their house. Connor was a finalist in the exhibition and enjoyed attending the awards ceremony at the museum.

Connor’s CCM, Emilie Perez, had a chance to visit Connor at school when he began working on this drawing. It was an incredible experience to see him so engaged in his art and to witness his hard work come full circle.

STC member, Mo, has the most contagious smile!

Mo’s CCM, Emilie, loves every minute spent visiting Mo. She loves shopping, going out to eat, and working with the staff at her day program. One of Mo’s favorite things to buy is a new blanket to keep with her throughout the day. Emilie always notices that Mo has a new blanket each time she sees her.

It’s small moments of connection that make STC unique. CCMs care for the whole person and enjoy every opportunity to learn new things about the people they support, so that they can better advocate for their needs in the future.

Care Coordination Managers (CCMs) strive to be active in their region beyond their work with members. Thank you to the Norwich office for taking the time to volunteer at St. Bart’s!

Brothers Brandin and Alex have been busy in their community with their most recent adventure, which included bowling. The pair, with support from their sister, Brittany, participated in Special Olympics Bowling, representing the Central Region. They had a day full of fun, testing their skills, and making friends along the way!

Alex has worked on becoming more involved in activities and increasing his independence. This is a huge milestone, and Brandin and Brittany supported him every step of the way! STC is proud to work alongside family and caregivers to support members in achieving their goals.

Congratulations on a great bowling tournament to Brandin and Alex!
