Gratitude Monday
Today we shine a spotlight on our amazing providers!
There is one in particular I would like to highlight this week.

Dr. Kent Grotefendt is a trusted provider and leader in our nation. He is a
Family Medicine Doctor, which also is a very knowledgeable specialist in BHRT, specifically working with hormone pellet therapy.

In his personal time, he loves to travel with his wife Lynn, a few times a year. He enjoys spending time with his family, going hunting, and work around their 100 plus acres of land.

MEET OUR NEW PHARAMCIST
SAMUEL RICHMOND, PharmD

When asked “what do we call you
Samuel or Sam”?
He humbly answered, “Sam is fine”.

Sam joined our pharmacy team on March 4th. He is a perfect fit. “He is a hard working and a very pleasant person to work along side”, one pharmacist said. “He jumped right in answering phones and filling the role of a pharmacist on day one.” One of the owners added, “He seems trustworthy and everyone loves him already”.

Sam attended ETSU for his undergraduate, and continued his education at ETSU Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy. He graduated pharmacy school May of 2023 and went straight to work in a retail pharmacy.

He grew up in Kingsport, TN and told us he is very family oriented and is very close to his two siblings, nieces and nephews. He is a big sports fan in general. Sam loves to play golf every chance he gets.

He married the love of his life, Kaitlyn after graduating pharmacy school. He met his beautiful wife during pharmacy school, and now they are both pharmacists and love serving in their communities. Sam of course works in a compounding pharmacy setting while Kaitlyn works in a hospital setting. Sam and Kaitlyn love to travel, however when they are home they cuddle up with their 2 furry kiddos, Melah (a mini Aussiedoodle) and Winnie (a Bernedoodle) This family of 4 also enjoy taking walks together.

Celebrate the experts who help people build healthier lives through the power of good nutrition and smart food choices.

RDN's, council patients and help them by developing a healthy menu according to their food preferences. They put together a balanced diet menu that fits what the patient is trying to achieve.

Solutions Pharmacy compounds medications for cats, dogs, guinea pig, rabbits, ferret and even farm animals like; pigs, cows, goats and horses.

Sometimes an animal needs a medication compounded that is tailored to suit their specific need. We can compound medication as a cream or ointment that is applied to the inside of the animals ear. We can also make a tasty treat that has their medicine in it or simply flavor a liquid that is squirted in it's mouth.
