For some patients, ketamine therapy may lead to meaningful changes beyond an improvement in mood.

Clinical improvements may include reduced depressive symptoms, fewer intrusive or suicidal thoughts, increased energy and motivation, and a renewed ability to connect with people and everyday activities. These changes can look different for each patient, and individual results and timelines vary.

At Keta Medical Center, treatment begins with a personalized evaluation and is provided in a controlled clinical setting under physician supervision.

Ketamine’s effects begin at the level of communication between brain cells. By acting on the glutamate system, it may help disrupt persistent stress-signaling patterns and support the formation of new neural connections.

This increased neuroplasticity may give the brain greater flexibility to develop healthier patterns of thought and mood. For some patients, this different biological pathway may also support improvements more quickly than traditional antidepressants, although responses and timelines vary.

How many ketamine treatments are needed for depression? The answer depends on the treatment type, your diagnosis, and how you respond along the way.

At Keta Medical Center, a typical induction phase includes eight Spravato® sessions over four weeks or six IV ketamine infusions over three weeks. After induction, treatment may continue with optimization or maintenance sessions scheduled according to each patient’s progress.

Some patients notice changes during the first few sessions, while others may need to complete the full induction series before experiencing meaningful improvement. Treatment plans are reassessed throughout the process and adjusted based on individual needs.

What if relief from treatment-resistant depression were possible in hours or days, rather than weeks or months? With Spravato, the research shows it can be. 💙

Spravato (esketamine) is FDA-approved, clinically proven, and offers safe, lasting results for people who haven't found relief through traditional antidepressants.

And here's something even more exciting — as of January 2025, Spravato is now FDA-approved as a monotherapy. That means you no longer need to take concurrent antidepressants to receive this treatment. ✨

At Keta Medical Center, Spravato is administered in a safe, monitored, and compassionate setting — with a physician-led team by your side every step of the way.
If you've been struggling and feel like you've run out of options, this could be the breakthrough you've been waiting for. 🙏 Schedule a free consultation to learn if Spravato is right for you >>> ketamc.com

You've tried "self-care."
You've tried pushing through.
You've tried to "just relax."

Here's the truth wellness culture doesn't post about:

Real self-care isn't always soft. Sometimes it's the harder thing — asking your provider, "what else is out there?" Sometimes it's admitting the usual stuff isn't cutting it anymore.
For some people, that's therapy. For others, it's finally exploring something like ketamine treatment — fast-acting, medically supervised, and built around you — for when other options haven't gotten you all the way there.

You don't need to have it all figured out.

You just need to be willing to ask.

Not all depression treatments work through the same pathways in the brain.

Traditional antidepressants primarily modulate serotonin and norepinephrine and may take several weeks to provide meaningful relief. Ketamine works differently by targeting the glutamate system and triggering downstream pathways associated with neuroplasticity. In some patients, antidepressant effects may begin within hours to days, although individual responses and duration vary.

At Keta Medical Center, each patient receives a personalized evaluation, and every treatment is administered under direct physician supervision.
