I’m 26 today and it’s my first birthday away from my hometown. My mom and brother sang me happy birthday over FaceTime while I celebrated with my boyfriend’s family. I’ve always said that pretty girls always cry on their birthdays, and maybe that’s because I always do. I think this is the longest I’ve made it through the day without crying in years, but I kept up my birthday tradition while writing this. Every year I feel a little more like myself - I’m not sure I’m fully there yet but I know this is the closest I’ve ever gotten. It’s funny how I expected this to be the hardest birthday yet since I didn’t get to see most of my friends, but I got so many messages all day that I felt like you all were here with me. We all tend to reflect on our lives on our birthdays, and I think 16 year old Mandy would be really proud of the life 26 year old Mandy has led, and would be very thankful that she didn’t give up

Took home 3rd in best large color at the Jacksonville tattoo convention with my dear friend Kenny’s deep sea fish sleeve. Two years in the making, we just finished it up last month. I’ll be posting healed photos of the whole piece soon. Thank you forever for trusting me with this project - it’s number 1 in my heart 🦑🐠🪼

The rumors are true - I’ll be back in Jax this weekend for the Tattoo Convention!!! I’m mostly booked but please come get tattooed by my lovely friends here!!
