Let’s talk about estrogen dominance.

It’s one of the most common hormone imbalances women experience, yet many don’t realize their symptoms may be connected.

You may be experiencing:
• Heavy periods
• Breast tenderness
• Fibroids
• PMS symptoms
• Weight gain around the hips and thighs

Hormones work best when they’re in balance. When estrogen becomes disproportionately high compared to progesterone, your body may begin sending signals that something is off.

The good news? Symptoms are information, not something you have to simply live with.

At The Well Healthcare, we believe in looking at the full picture so you can better understand what your body is trying to tell you. 💙

There are some symptoms women experience so often that they’ve been told they’re “just part of life.”

But common doesn’t always mean normal.

Here are 5 symptoms that deserve a closer look:

• Exhaustion that doesn’t improve with rest
• Painful periods that interfere with daily life
• Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
• Hair loss or excessive shedding
• Low libido or changes in sexual desire

While these symptoms can have many causes, they shouldn’t automatically be dismissed.
Your body is always communicating. Symptoms are often clues that something deeper may need attention—whether that’s hormones, nutrient deficiencies, thyroid function, stress, inflammation, or another underlying issue.

At The Well Healthcare, we believe in looking at the whole picture so you can better understand what your body is trying to tell you.

Which symptom do you hear women dismiss the most?

Shout out to NuggieJsgarage for these handcrafted cherry wood kitchen utensils!

As we’re continuing our toxin-elimination journey this year, I’m always excited to find low-toxin alternatives from local small businesses. These are not only beautiful, but a great replacement for plastic utensils that come into contact with our food every day. I use these daily and they are such great quality.

Let’s talk about it...

Sometimes what feels like anxiety may actually be your body’s way of signaling that something deeper needs attention.

Low progesterone, perimenopause, blood sugar fluctuations, thyroid dysfunction, and other hormone imbalances can all create symptoms that look and feel very similar to anxiety.

You may experience:
• Racing thoughts
• Irritability
• Feeling overwhelmed
• Difficulty sleeping
• Increased worry or nervousness
• Feeling constantly on edge

This doesn’t mean your symptoms aren’t real. It means there may be more pieces to the puzzle.

At The Well Healthcare, we believe in looking at the whole picture—not just treating symptoms, but understanding what may be contributing to them.

Your body is always communicating. The goal is learning how to listen.

Have you ever been told your labs look “normal,” but you still don’t feel like yourself?

You’re not imagining it.

While lab work can provide valuable information, it doesn’t always tell the full story. Your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and how you feel day to day matter too.

Things like:
• fatigue
• brain fog
• weight changes
• mood swings
• low energy
• poor sleep

can sometimes be your body’s way of telling you that something deserves a closer look.

At The Well Healthcare, we believe healthcare should look at the whole picture, not just a single number on a lab report.

You know your body best. If something feels off, don’t ignore it. Ask questions. Advocate for yourself. Find a provider who listens and partners with you to understand what’s really going on. 💙

Feeling tired isn’t always as simple as “you need more sleep.”

Fatigue can be influenced by multiple things happening behind the scenes, which is why conversations around energy often go deeper than how many hours someone slept the night before.

Things like:
• sleep quality
• stress levels
• hydration
• protein intake
• hormone changes
• periods
• lab values
• caffeine habits
• medications

can all affect how the body feels and functions over time.
Many people adjust to feeling tired gradually, which can make low energy start to feel like a normal part of everyday life.

But symptoms are often information, not inconveniences.
Sometimes the body isn’t asking us to push harder. Sometimes it’s asking us to look closer. 🌿

Eat with the seasons 🌿

Choosing in-season fruits and vegetables is one of the simplest ways to support your health naturally.

Why choose seasonal produce?

✨ More nutrients – produce picked at peak ripeness often contains higher levels of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants

✨ Better flavor – fresher produce simply tastes better

✨ More affordable – when produce is abundant, prices are often lower

✨ Supports local farming – choosing seasonal helps support regional growers

✨ Less processing and transport time – fresher food means less time spent in storage and transit

This season, enjoy fresh picks like:
🍓 Strawberries*
🫐 Blueberries*
🥬 Spinach*
🫑 Bell peppers*
🍅 Tomatoes*
🥦 Broccoli
🥒 Cucumbers
🥑 Avocados
🍉 Watermelon
🥒 Zucchini

*Items marked with an asterisk are part of the Dirty Dozen, meaning they’re often best purchased organic when possible due to higher pesticide exposure.

At The Well Healthcare, we believe food is foundational medicine. Small, intentional choices, like eating seasonally, can have a meaningful impact on energy, inflammation, gut health, and overall wellness. 💙

There are a lot of health questions people hesitate to ask because they feel uncomfortable, embarrassed, or assume what they’re experiencing is “probably normal.”

Questions like:

• Why am I always bloated?
• Is my discharge normal?
• Why am I gaining weight?
• Why am I always tired?

are more common than many people realize.
And while social media, friends, or internet searches can sometimes provide opinions, they don’t always provide context.

The body communicates in different ways, and symptoms often connect to a bigger picture rather than one isolated issue.

Asking questions isn’t overreacting.

Sometimes it’s the first step toward understanding what your body may have been trying to tell you all along. 🌿

We’re partnering with Come Back Kids Inc. and Renegade Sports to help provide school supplies for children in our community. 💙

Small donations can make a big difference, and we’d love for our patients, families, and community to join us in supporting this effort.

We’re collecting school supplies to help fill 500 backpacks for local students and every contribution helps move us one step closer.

School supplies can be dropped off at our office.
Together we can help set students up for a strong start this school year. ✏️📚
