One piece of advice I would give to adult learners going back to school: choose a college that truly supports student growth and success.
Especially with a path like nursing, where your classes are taken in a very specific order, having an organized and supportive department makes a huge difference. Returning to school can already feel intimidating, so being in an environment that helps you stay informed, prepared, and encouraged matters more than people realize.
One thing I’ve appreciated about Santa Ana College is how supportive and organized the science department feels. It’s helped me feel more confident navigating my prerequisites and adjusting back into student life again.
Going back to school later in life is not a setback — sometimes it gives you the clarity and purpose you didn’t have before ✨
