Celebrating Champions of Athletic Training 💙💛

CATA is proud to recognize CIF Los Angeles City Section Commissioner Vicky Lagos and Assistant Commissioner Alexa Berg for their continued support of athletic trainers and student-athlete safety.

Through their leadership, athletic trainers now have a seat at the table through the CIF-LACS Athletic Trainer Advisory Group, helping ensure the sports medicine perspective is represented in important Section discussions. Vicky and Alexa have also championed the assignment of athletic trainers to CIF-LACS championship events, providing qualified medical coverage for student-athletes during the Section's biggest competitions. Their commitment to athlete safety is also reflected in the CIF-LACS Gold Book, which includes language supporting athletic trainers and medical professionals at contests, dedicated football sideline coverage, and pregame medical meetings to review communication and Emergency Action Plans.

Thank you, Vicky and Alexa, for your partnership, advocacy, and commitment to advancing athletic training throughout the Los Angeles City Section.
