Lactic acid ≠ just for your face.
It’s one of my go-to ingredients for the body—especially for rough, bumpy, or dull skin.

Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that:
• gently exfoliates
• improves texture (think KP, rough arms/legs)
• helps hydrate by improving skin barrier function

🧴 AmLactin is one commonly available option with lactic acid that I often recommend for patients who want something effective but straightforward.

How to use:
• start 1x daily (or every other day if sensitive)
• avoid broken/irritated skin
• sunscreen is still important on exposed areas

As always—consistency > intensity.

✨ Products That Caught My Eye — November 2025 ✨
A mix of new launches + smart formulas that stood out to me this month — everything from barrier-repair cleansers to next-gen sunscreens with pigment-correcting technology.

Face + Barrier Care: gentle cleansers, microbiome-friendly mists, azelaic acid for acne + post-inflammatory marks, and a holiday-ready lip therapy that’s actually hydrating.
Hair + Body: scalp actives like salicylic acid + ketoconazole, retinol body lotion for smoother texture, and a growth serum that treats your scalp like skincare. SPF + Anti-Aging: multitasking sunscreens that do more — brightening, protecting, bronzing, and evening skin tone.

💧 Face Favorites & Barrier Heroes
• La Roche-Posay Effaclar A.Z. Gel – Azelaic acid for acne-prone, post-breakout skin.
• Hypothesis Precision Healing Spray – Microbiome-focused repair for eczema-prone skin.
• Victoria Beckham Satin Kajal Liner in Cocoa Pavé – The perfect soft shimmer brown.
• Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser – Always a barrier-safe staple.
• Remedy Skin Rx Pre-Cleansing Balm – Melts makeup + SPF while supporting the barrier.
• Experiment Beauty Softwear Lip Treatments – Limited edition tints that nourish lips.
• Vaseline Pink Bubbly Lip Therapy – Festive barrier protection in a jar.

🌿 Body & Scalp Glow-Ups
• Saltair Retinol Renew Body Lotion – Smoother, glowier skin with gentle body retinol.
• Neutrogena Hair Restore Serum – Micro-peptides for density + less shedding.
• Remedy Skin Rx Dandruff Cream – Salicylic acid + ketoconazole for scalp balance.

☀️ SPF Meets Skincare Science
• CeraVe Skin Renewing Brightening Lotion SPF 30 – Melasyl + peptides for tone correction.
• Allies of Skin Sunless Tan SPF 50 – Sunscreen, antioxidants + glow in one.
• La Roche-Posay Anthelios Glow SPF 35 – Protection with built-in radiance.

💡 Smarter SPF = Protection + Correction + Glow

A peek inside my clinic 👩🏻‍⚕️🧴
Dry skin, texture, and early fine lines were the biggest themes — here are the actual cosmetic products I recommended:

✨ Experiment Beauty Supersaturated Serum – deep hydration base
✨ Molecular Mesh Moisturizer – long-lasting barrier support
✨ Amlactin – 15% lactic acid for dry, scaly body skin + KP
✨ 40% urea cream – cracked heels + calluses
✨ ROC Retinol Eye Cream – softens early fine lines

These are simple, accessible, evidence-based picks I use with patients every day.

Let’s talk about kids + skincare.

A new children’s skincare brand launched hydrogel masks for toddlers and young kids — and while the branding is cute, the messaging concerns me.

As a Dermatology PA (and a mom), kids do not need sheet masks, eye patches, or “spa night routines.”

This isn’t about being anti-self-care — it’s about being pro-childhood and pro-evidence.

Kids need:

✨ Play
✨ Confidence building
✨ Healthy habits
✨ Sun protection
✨ Sleep & nutrition
✨ Gentle skincare only when needed

They do not need cosmetic routines or products created to mimic adult beauty trends.

Let’s protect kids’ skin AND their relationship with their bodies — not start the beauty pressure at age 3.

Comment if you agree. 💛
Save for when you start seeing “mini skincare hauls.”

Very strategic with my Sephora sale purchases this year 👀🛍️

I focused on restocking essentials across different brands instead of buying multiples from the same line.
Why? Because Black Friday deals are coming — and some brands run even better sales than Sephora.

✨ What I grabbed: things I needed
✨ What I’m saving for Black Friday: Tower28 & Kérastase
✨ What I’m buying direct: KJH Beauty, Saltair (not at Sephora)

A smart beauty routine isn’t just about what you buy — it’s how and when you buy it.

And if you want to see exactly what I purchased + my staple recs —
🛍️ Everything is linked in my Sephora storefront (link in bio!)
