When most people think about hormone replacement therapy (HRT), they think about hot flashes, night sweats, or improving energy and libido.
But some of the most important benefits often go unnoticed.
Recently, I spoke with a patient who has been on HRT for many years. After experiencing a significant fall, she shared her belief that maintaining her bone health through hormone therapy may have helped her avoid a fracture. She also discussed how HRT has helped support her bladder health and quality of life over the years.
These are the conversations we don’t have often enough.
Hormones impact far more than symptoms of menopause. They play an important role in supporting bone density, urinary health, vaginal tissue health, and overall well-being as we age.
Every woman’s journey is unique, and HRT is not right for everyone. But understanding the full picture of hormone health allows women to make informed decisions about their bodies and their future.
Sometimes the greatest benefits of treatment aren’t what you feel today—it’s what you’re protecting for tomorrow.
