Warriors of the Santa Anas The Warriors of the Santa Anas are dedicated to maintaining and improving the trails in the Cleveland National Forest.

Our club is based on the American Indian Traditions of the Warrior's Society. The Warrior's Society is made up of wilderness cyclists, trail runners and hikers who have dedicated themselves to improving and protecting the trails of the Trabuco District of the Cleveland National Forest in Orange County California. They must also share our love of the land and the endurance to ride or hike it. Membe

rs must be nominated and voted in by existing members. The US Forest Service honored us with the 2002 trail advocate award for region 5, which includes the state California. We are also closely monitoring the push to designate new wilderness areas in California and around our nation. It is our belief that another designation is needed that would protect our forests as well as our freedom to responsibly enjoy them. The Back Country Designation is one proposed alternative. Saturday, June 20, 2026 - Motorway is getting a little bushy and is due for a mid-season tune up. We will trim the lower half (up to the highest switchback) this Saturday morning. We’ll have two groups to best accommodate your schedules: 6am and 7am. Work until you want to be done (a few hours).

Please RSVP for which group you would like to join by e-mailing [email protected]. Indicate if you have your own electric hedger or would like to use one of ours.

We will meet in the dirt parking lot at the very exit of the trail. This is the STAGING AREA we used for VisionQuest as indicated in this map.

We’ll hike in to do the trail work, but bring your bike and we’ll ride after.

Another successful Pow Wow. Vision Quest and Counting Coup. Incredible effort by all of these riders.

A little sad note for me. I will be stepping down as Co Director but will always be a Volunteer as this organization does some incredible work in our local Mountains.

Thank you all for the trail work and friendship over the years.
