Greetings to all my beloved clients,
After months of consideration and constant mental conflict, I have made the difficult decision to increase my massage rates. As a professional who has always prided herself on keeping costs affordable to her community in order to help her community function better physically, mentally, spiritually and physiologically; this decision did not come to me easily.
As most of you are aware; Tranquil Healing is a one woman operation. This means I am the only person involved in making your time spent at my spa a wonderful and comfortable experience. In order to maintain the best personalized level of care for each person who enters my building, changes need to be made.
As a Licensed Massage Therapist who holds a degree in my field of practice, and has nearly 20 years of experience, and countless education hours; I have realized that my rates are not appropriate for my skill set. Some of the factors have affected this decision are: rising costs of supplies, rising costs of utilities, increased costs of living, as well as repair costs in owning, and maintaining a safe, and functional space for people to improve their quality of life. Outside of running the physical side of the business of 50+ hours a week, there are countless hours spent outside the Massage Therapy aspect of the business. I am the secretary, I manage the maintenance, laundry, cleaning, book-keeping, advertising, client therapist communication, supply orders, etc. On top of continuing education, research, and keeping my own knowledge as up to date as possible. I am doing the job of more than 3 people with only one me. That is just the business professional side of me. I am also a mother, wife, and the manager of my beautiful family. I absolutely love and cherish the work I do; however, in an effort to be able to maintain the best quality of care for everyone, (including myself) these changes will take place January 1, 2027.
I do understand that everyone is feeling this economic shift and I wholeheartedly understand if there are clients who can not or may not be willing/able continue to support this price change. If this is the case, please do not feel guilty if you need to seek out a different LMT who is more able to accommodate. TRUST me, there are no hard feelings, and I will always hold a special place for you in my heart, and will always appreciate the support you showed regardless of how often we saw each other.
CURRENT CLIENTS NOTE WHO HAVE REQUESTED SPECIFIC RE-OCCURING REGULAR APPOINTMENTS: There are a number of clients who have requested specific times or days for their regular re-occuring appointments. If you are one of them and you have decided that this rate change will not work for you, please reach out to me ASAP so that I may make any appropriate schedule changes necessary. Again, NO HARD FEELINGS! EVERY ONE OF YOU RECEIVING THIS EMAIL AND NOTICE HAS SUPPORTED ME ONE WAY OR ANOTHER! From being past or current massage clients, to liking my business page, and the rave reviews that have allowed me and my business to thrive!
I believe in being completely transparent with the people who enter my life. That being said; future rate increases will likely take place each year at the beginning of every New Year.
January 1, 2027 increase will be $10 to every massage modality that I offer. All other spa services, and add-on services will remain the same price. After 2027, my (tentative) goal is to increase costs by $5/massage session each year. I will always notify you of any rate changes, via email from my booking software platform, facebook and/or in person prior to the rate change just as I always have.
