🍂 Fall Equinox Weekend 🍁
We’re excited to share the River Vibes flyer and invite you to be part of something special this Equinox weekend. We will be celebrating our 8th year!
This isn’t just about gathering ~ it’s about giving back to the river and connecting more deeply with the land, the community, and yourself.
River Vibes is centered around a watershed-wide cleanup in the Fort Ancient River Valley in Oregonia, Ohio. There are so many wonderful communities who call this river home. Wherever you are along the Little Miami River, you can join in by helping care for this place we all love. Get outside, gather friends, and take part in restoring the river and its banks.
If you’d like to join us on-site, we’ll be hosting a guided cleanup float, a river concert 🎶, and nature interpretation leaving from Oregonia, led by the Little Miami Watershed Network. Curtis Castro from The Onion Bag Project will guide and inspire the cleanup as we come together to connect with the land and water.
Don’t have a boat? Yak Shack will be on-site renting kayaks, tubes, and canoes for a discounted $25 per trip, shuttle included, so everyone can get out on the water and be part of the cleanup.
Throughout the day, there will also be wellness offerings with local practitioners at the Tonic True Nature River Retreat House. You can join sessions on the land, spend time in the gardens, and connect with sustainability experts sharing their knowledge and practices.
After the float, we’ll gather to enjoy a seasonal harvest meal 🥗. Fresh ingredients from our own gardens and our community garden at One Earth Collaborative and delicious creations from Sun Sprouts Cafe right down the trail will be shared. We invite you to bring a dish or something seasonal to contribute to the potluck.
Even if you can’t be with us on the river, you can still be part of the movement. Wherever you are, take time this weekend to walk the land, make music and art, collect trash, and celebrate the season by giving back.
Together, we’re helping to protect and honor the watershed ~ restoring balance as we move into fall. 🍂
The full schedule and event page are coming soon, but for now, here’s the flyer.
Please share it, spread the word, and join us!
