I think this is why I love modeling.

There’s something about being in front of a camera that gives you permission to explore the different versions of yourself. We’re not one-dimensional—we can be soft, strong, serious, playful, grounded and a little feisty.

Most of my world is being a wife, a mother, a yoga teacher and a massage therapist—roles that involve nurturing, teaching, caring and being present for other people. Modeling gives me a space to step outside of those roles for a moment and tap into parts of my personality I don’t always access.

With a photographer like duston todd it becomes less about posing and more about seeing what comes forward.

I don’t model professionally. I do it because I love the reminder that being yourself doesn’t mean being the same version of yourself all the time.

And apparently, put me in front of a camera and the feisty one likes to come out. 🖤

There’s something I value more and more in a world of filters, AI, and perfectly curated versions of ourselves: being genuine.

I love creativity. I love what AI can do to enhance an image or bring an idea to life. But when it comes to photographs of me, I want enhancement to stop before it becomes alteration. I still want to see my skin, my lines, my shape, my expression—the person who was actually standing in front of the camera.

duston todd once called me a purist when it comes to photography, and I think that extends beyond my images. I try to live that way too. Transparent. Unfiltered. Sometimes imperfect. Hopefully always genuine.

I don’t want to create an online version of myself that you wouldn’t recognize in person.

What you see is what you get.

And in a world where it’s becoming increasingly difficult to know what’s real, I think there’s something quietly powerful about that.

There is a particular kind of power in being a woman.

Not the kind that needs to be announced or proven. The kind you discover slowly—by learning yourself, trusting yourself, and realizing just how much strength has been there all along.

And then comes the real work: learning how to harness it.

To be strong without becoming hardened.
Soft without becoming small.
Certain without losing curiosity.
Powerful without needing power over anyone else.

Know your strength. Own it. And then use it to leave things a little better than you found them.

Massage has become so much more to me than a profession. It’s something I genuinely believe everyone can benefit from.

Becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist felt like a natural extension of my years in yoga, fitness, anatomy, and movement. But my own experiences with pain have shaped my work just as much. They’ve taught me that pain is rarely as simple as “this muscle is tight.” Our movement, stress, history, nervous system, and emotions all matter.

That’s why I approach every person on my table as exactly that—a person, not just a collection of muscles.

I bring my understanding of anatomy and movement, but also empathy, intuition, and a willingness to listen to what your body is telling me.

Massage isn’t just something we need when we hurt. It can be part of how we care for ourselves—how we recover, move better, regulate stress, and stay connected to our bodies.

Anatomy. Movement. Touch. Human connection.

That’s why I love this work. 🤍

Lately, the darkness feels loud.

It feels emboldened. Dominating. As though every hidden cruelty in humanity has risen to the surface at once.

But I keep wondering if we are seeing it wrong.

Maybe the darkness isn’t growing.

Maybe the light is.

Maybe we are witnessing what happens when enough people make the conscious decision to choose love over hatred. Courage over apathy. Compassion over cruelty. Truth over comfort. Good over evil.

Light does not only illuminate what is beautiful.

It exposes what has survived in the dark.

And perhaps that is why this moment feels so overwhelming—because light is reaching into places it has not reached before. Into the deepest crevices of humanity. Into the things we buried, ignored, excused, or simply refused to see.

And what has lived comfortably in darkness does not disappear quietly when the light finds it.

It fights to remain.

So maybe our work now is not to become discouraged by how much darkness we can suddenly see.

Maybe our work is to keep the light on.

To stay courageous.
To keep choosing love when hatred is louder.
To keep choosing humanity when cruelty feels easier.
To leave no stone unturned and no dark corner untouched.

Because evil depends on darkness.

And if enough of us keep choosing the light—

eventually, there will be nowhere left for it to hide.
