First portrait in the books — and it happened to be Frieza from Dragon Ball Z 😅🤘🏼
It was a pleasure bringing this one to life and pushing myself into a style I’ve been wanting to grow in. I’m really appreciative of this journey and the chance to watch my work settle in and heal — that’s when you really get to see the tattoo come alive.
When I did this piece, my client had stretch marks around his shoulder from previously being overweight, and during the tattoo they swelled up, which is something stretch marks can naturally do when the skin is worked. As you can see 3 days later after removing the saniderm, all the swelling was gone and the tattoo is settling in beautifully. Technique and aftercare matter a lot in situations like this — every skin type tells a different story, and healing is part of the art too.
