I woke up this morning at 8 AM with CRUST IN MY EYES, grabbed my phone, and saw that Ava’s test results were finally available…
And y’all… I just LOST IT. 😭
Because today I can finally say something I’ve been waiting and praying so hard to say…
MY BABY FINISHED HER INDUCTION CYCLE. 🥹🎗️
NO LEUKEMIA CELLS DETECTED 🙏🏼❤️
The hardest cycle. The cycle that has scared the absolute hell out of me. The cycle that took my baby from running around being a kid to fighting a battle no child should ever have to fight.
I have watched her go through things that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. I’ve watched her hurt. I’ve watched her be so sick. I’ve watched her get poked, hooked up to machines, receive transfusions, fight infections, lose her hair, lose her appetite, and be completely exhausted.
I have sat beside her bed and cried when she couldn’t see me.
I have also walked out of her room to fall apart and then walked right back in with a smile because she needed her mama to be strong.
I have prayed prayers I never thought I’d have to pray. Days where I was terrified I was going to lose her… And through ALL of it…
SHE FOUGHT. 😭❤️
My girl made it through induction.
I know we still have a long road ahead of us. I know this fight isn’t over. There will be more chemo, more scary days, more waiting, more praying. BUT TODAY?
Today I’m going to look at my daughter and say, BABY, YOU DID IT 😭
I am so damn proud of you, Ava. More than you will ever understand.
Thank you to every single person who has prayed for my baby, checked on us, donated, shared her story, sent her messages, brought her gifts, or simply whispered her name in a prayer.
You have carried us through some of the darkest days of our lives. & now I’m asking you to celebrate this one with us.
INDUCTION. IS. DONE. 🎀
One cycle down.
One giant step forward.
And my baby is still here fighting. ❤️
KEEP FIGHTING, AVA. MOMMY’S RIGHT HERE. ALWAYS. 🥹🎀😭
