Eliminating the empty calories of soda from your diet

Research proves that soda is the number one contributor to
obesity for children. With over 450 different kinds on the
market, there's a lot to choose from.

An average soda contains around 150 calories. Since the average
sodaholic consumes two of these per day that adds up to about 25
extra pounds per year that you're adding to your body.

Why do we crave soda? Because the sugar used in it, high
fructose syrup, has an interesting side effect. It fails to stop
the production of a hormone called ghrelin. Ghrelin stimulates
the appetite. So our body doesn't get the signal to stop
drinking.

Besides calories, you have to look at sugar content. Most sodas
hover around 35-40 grams of sugar. There 's also the high carb
rate. This promotes sugar cravings which lead to junk food and
more carbs.

Soda is also a diuretic, which causes you to be thirsty and,
ultimately, drink even more soda.

The best advice is to kick the soda habit. Replacing soda with
water will not only cut cravings, but allow you to lose weight.

Using green tea to boost your metabolism

Green tea has been a stable of cultures for centuries due to it's

Separate snacks ahead of time to avoid making unhealthy choices

Eating healthy with today's busy lifestyle means more than just

The way around this is to plan all of your snacks out ahead of

Be mindful of your portion sizes

Portion control is one of the easiest ways to sabotage your
eating. Even if you choose many of the right foods you can still
defeat the purpose of those choices by loading up on more food
than you should have.

Portion size trips a lot of people up simply because they have no
idea just how much food they should be consuming. They let their
eyes dictate how much they eat and before you know it they've
overeaten.

When starting your weight loss journey you should probably weigh
your food out so you get an accurate idea of what you should
have. This especially goes for protein for which a portion
equals the size of a fist.

Many people want to lose weight, but lack the self-discipline to

How can it help? Because losing weight is all about changing

A weight loss buddy doesn't necessarily have to be someone who also needs to lose weight. But if they are on the same path as you, or have recently been there, then they will be sure to have a better understanding of exactly what it is that you are going through.

Being able to pull off of someone else's experience is
