I got to lead not one but TWO homeschool groups in foraging this week and this last one was our homeschool group 🥰 we sang around the mulberry bush to thank it before munching, snacked on all sorts of edibles, made topical field medicine, and had a plant id relay race. These kids were all so into it and it was so fun to experience this joy.

Wild Medicine makers!! This was such a fun group of nature loving herbies who chose to use a Saturday morning to reclaim some bioregional plant wisdom. They each blended their own tinctures with the herbs of choice from our materia médica and guided medicinal plant walk. This time was immune and lymph supportive wild herbs. Next class is May 18th. Limit 8 students, reserve your space early if this is your idea of a great time!

New tincture alert!
The Healthy Heart tincture is a powerful blend of carefully chosen herbs that are scientifically proven to improve cardiovascular health. I chose this blend specifically for lowering cholesterol and blood pressure levels but the benefits extend beyond that scope. The premier herb is Hawthorn berry which has been proven to be heart protective and strengthening, hypertension preventing, regulating of blood lipid levels, anti-atherosclerosis, and is a powerful anti-inflammatory. I chose to blend it with ginger that is, itself, cardio-protective and vasodilating but is also brilliant at increasing circulation making it the perfect catalyst to move the blood and skillfully distribute the herbal constituents throughout the body. Cinnamon is there as another proven heart protector and catalyst while tulsi is present for its adaptogenic effects of helping the cells recover from stress and returning the body back to healthy homeostasis. It was made for someone I love dearly to keep them off of heart medications while they make the necessarily lifestyle changes needed to restore heart health. I made extra to share.

Ingredients:
Hawthorn berry
Tulsi
Cinnamon
Ginger
Solvent- local Florida rum/grain alcohol
Dose: 1 dropper full 1-3x a day
Price: $17 (plus shipping if needed)

Today I had the immense pleasure of teaching 30 third-graders about some edible and medicinal herbs that surround them here in Central Florida. Thank you so much for having me Ecclesial School!
If you have a group, co-op, or school that would be interested in an edible walk or an herbal medicine making class.. send me a message and let's start planning!
