There is something truly special about the power of community coming together. 💙 Once a month, a wonderful group of veterans from Eastern Oregon Veterans visits our residents to share their time, stories, and genuine companionship — and it means more than words can express.

These visits are a beautiful reminder that connection and care can make a real difference in someone's day. Our residents light up every single time this incredible group walks through the door. And yes — the coffee and doughnuts are always a welcome treat too! 😄

We are deeply grateful to every veteran who gives their time and heart to make these visits so meaningful. Your kindness does not go unnoticed, and it is felt by everyone here at La Grande Post Acute.

Meet Milo — a 6-month-old mini Aussie with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. From the time he was just a few weeks old, Milo has been visiting the residents at La Grande Post Acute Rehab, bringing warmth and joy with every single visit.

It's the little things that mean the most. A gentle nuzzle. A wagging tail. A smile that stays long after Milo has gone home for the day. These moments remind us why connection — in all its forms — is so important to overall well-being.

At LPAR, we believe that care goes beyond the clinical. It's about nurturing the spirit, too. Watching our residents light up during Milo's visits is a powerful reminder of that every time. 🐕

Our therapy team and activities department love joining forces — and the results are always worth celebrating. Together, they find ways to make movement feel less like work and more like play. Different parts of the body get a workout, all wrapped up in laughter, creativity, and genuine connection.

Our community has a heart that never stops giving. 💙

The residents at La Grande Post Acute Rehab have chosen a truly meaningful community service project this month — collecting essential items for wildland firefighters who are out on the front lines, giving everything they have to protect our communities.

These brave men and women face incredible challenges every single day, and our residents wanted them to know they are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated.

We are reaching out to our community for support. If you are able to contribute items to help our wildland firefighters, we would be so grateful for your generosity. Every little bit makes a difference to those working so hard to keep us safe.

There is something truly special about stepping outside, slowing down, and sharing a meal together. ☀️ At LPAR, we took full advantage of the beautiful sunshine and gathered for a delightful lunch outdoors — fresh sub sandwiches, chips, and plenty of warm conversation.

The laughter came easily, the stories flowed freely, and the memories of summer fun filled the air. Moments like these remind us how important it is to pause, connect, and simply enjoy the company around us. 🥪
