Think of your health like a tree (or a plant in my case).

The symptoms you see, fatigue, bloating, brain fog, skin issues, those are just the leaves. But the roots? There are dozens of them, all tangled together, all feeding each other. You can’t fix a wilting plant by watering *one* root.

And yet, that’s exactly what I see happening. Everyone is chasing a single root cause. Parasites. Mold. Gut bacteria. Hormones.

And while yes, these things absolutely matter, the mistake is treating them like they exist in isolation. Like fixing that one thing will make the whole tree flourish.

It won’t. Because the roots don’t work that way, and neither does your body.

How did it get there in the first place? What’s the soil made of? What’s been missing for years that allowed those roots to weaken?

One answer that keeps coming up, and one that most people are dramatically underestimating: minerals. Not just taking a supplement and calling it done, but truly replenishing what’s been depleted at a foundational level.

Tomorrow I’m dropping something I genuinely believe is one of the most important things I’ve put together. If minerals have ever confused you, overwhelmed you, or just felt like a missing piece, this is for you…stay tuned 🤗

Wondering why you’re constantly exhausted, fatigued, dealing with brain fog, digestive issues, painful periods, or just feeling off?

Unfortunately we’ve normalized “utter exhaustion” in motherhood. But it might actually be a mineral imbalance.

Minerals are your body’s factory workers. They help everything function properly, your hormones, digestion, energy, sleep, nervous system.

The physical stressors of pregnancy and breastfeeding can deplete you of these minerals, and everyday motherhood keeps the depletion going.

If you’ve had blood work done and been told everything looks normal but you’re not feeling normal, minerals are likely the missing piece. Many minerals aren’t stored in your blood but in your tissue and cells, so bloodwork alone doesn’t give you the full picture.

I’ve got something exciting coming Wednesday, all about minerals and why you’ve been feeling the way you have and how to have a hydrating and “glowing” summer 🤗🤩 Stay tuned!

if you’ve implemented minerals and electrolytes, what’s been the biggest win you’ve noticed?

also, I’m making my plain Jane electrolyte recipe in this video, grab an eighth of a teaspoon salt, a quarter teaspoon cream of tartar, and a squeeze of lemon or lime and add some ice..so good for a sugar free option 😆

When your kids finally don’t *need* you (most times), and you can finally enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee

But after years of always having lukewarm…it’s actually what you prefer…anyone else 😆

Also shoutout to my husband for the Spaceballs reference 😂

Low milk supply is incredibly complex and sometimes, despite doing everything “right,” a mom still may not make a full milk supply.

That is real. That is valid. And it deserves compassionate, individualized support, not guilt or shame.

At the same time, many families are never fully assessed for the root contributors impacting milk production, from latch and milk transfer to blood sugar regulation, hormones, mineral status, stress, thyroid health, PCOS/PMOS, postpartum nourishment and more.

This is exactly why I created my new Motherhood Program:

combining proactive lactation + functional nutrition support during pregnancy and postpartum.

Inside we focus on:
✨ Prenatal lactation prep
✨ Blood sugar + mineral support
✨ Nourishment for pregnancy/postpartum
✨ Breastfeeding foundations + milk removal
✨ Ongoing postpartum guidance
✨ HTMA testing to help identify deeper patterns + nutrient depletion

And no matter what your feeding journey looks like, breastfeeding never has to be “all or nothing.”

Combination feeding is still breastfeeding. Your worth is never measured in ounces!

If you’re pregnant and want proactive support, comment “motherhood” and I’ll send details.

Low milk supply is one of the biggest fears for breastfeeding moms… but not all “low supply” is the same.

There’s:
▶️Primary low milk supply
▶️Secondary low milk supply
▶️Perceived low milk supply

And honestly? A LOT of moms I see actually have perceived low milk supply.

Cluster feeding, softer breasts, fussiness, wanting to nurse often, or not pumping “a lot” do NOT automatically mean your supply is low.

This is where the “top off trap” can sometimes happen:
Mom worries baby isn’t getting enough ▶️supplements with formula ▶️baby nurses less ▶️breasts get less stimulation ▶️supply decreases.

Now of course there ARE absolutely situations where supplementation is necessary and important (poor weight gain, dehydration, true low supply, etc.), but we also want to protect your milk supply whenever possible and identify the root issue.

That’s why working with an IBCLC can be so helpful 🙋‍♀️

If you’re struggling with breastfeeding, milk supply, pumping, latch issues, or just want reassurance and support, comment “support” and our team would love to help.

Our client “A” first came to us wanting weight loss after months of working with a trainer and following a restrictive “meal plan.”

What she didn’t realize was just how depleted her body truly was. Cutting calories only left her with more fatigue, brain fog, irritability, stress, and ultimately… more weight loss resistance.

After trying “all the things” online, she came to .nutrition looking for a different approach:

▶️personalized, root-cause support◀️

We ran functional labs to better understand what was happening in her body and created a plan tailored to her unique needs.

This wasn’t a quick fix or one-time session.

Over 4+ months, she received ongoing support through messaging, follow-up consults, and customized care plans designed to fit her busy life as a military anesthesiologist, mom of two.

For the first time in a long time, she felt validated. She realized she wasn’t “crazy” or “lazy”, her symptoms made sense, and her body needed support, not more restriction.

Over time, we watched her energy return, her mood improve, and her vibrancy come back to life. 🙌🏼

If you’re tired of guessing and DIYing your health and ready for a personalized approach that actually looks at the whole picture, comment “support” and let’s see if we’re the right fit for your journey.

Don’t keep pushing through or thinking you’re crazy..you’re not 🫶

A lot of women in their late 30s and 40s are told:
“this is just aging”
“this is just hormones”
“this is just motherhood”
“Welcome to perimenopause”

But what many women don’t realize is that postpartum depletion and perimenopause can share MANY overlapping symptoms.

Fatigue.
Sleep issues.
Mood changes.
Brain fog.
Stress intolerance.
Blood sugar dysregulation.
Feeling like your body suddenly “can’t handle” things the same way anymore.

And while perimenopause is a very real hormonal transition, we also can’t ignore the role that years of stress, undernourishment, pregnancy, breastfeeding, poor sleep, chronic dieting, and depletion may play in how resilient the body feels during this season.

This doesn’t mean symptoms are “all nutrient deficiencies” or that nourishment replaces medical care or hormone support when needed.

But supporting the foundations matters:
✨ blood sugar balance
✨ adequate nourishment
✨ minerals + electrolytes
✨ stress resiliency
✨ muscle mass
✨ sleep + circadian rhythm
✨ nervous system support

We see this ALL the time with our clients inside our functional nutrition practice and it’s why we focus so heavily on rebuilding the body, not just “pushing through.”

You deserve to feel supported in this season 🙌🏼

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but here’s our reasoning and our boundaries:

▶️ Only plays with his dad (doesn’t play alone)
▶️ No fighting/aggressive games
▶️ We cap the time
▶️ It’s become less about “screen time” and more about connection

Honestly, it’s been really sweet watching them work together through different missions.
Our son is learning patience, problem solving, teamwork, and how to communicate when things get frustrating.

And surprisingly my husband has learned a lot too, especially patience and how to work with a 4-year-old instead of just doing it for him 😂

Like most things in parenting, I think balance and intentionality matter more than extremes
