Orrville's Owen Lacy, who last season set the all-time Wayne County record in the 1600 meters, ran a very fast 1:56.1 to jump up to the #10 spot in the 800 meters. I'd be surprised if that's not the number one 800m run in April in Wayne County. Congrats, Owen! 😃

C2 Mobility Mondays
This week’s focus: Squat Prep Mobility.
Two of my favorites to wake the body up.

1️⃣Deep Squat into Lumbar Reverse Segmentation
• Perform a slow, controlled deep squat → reach to the floor → and roll out of it one vertebra at a time.
2️⃣ Deep Squat Rocks
• Feet shoulder-width apart. Lower into a deep squat with heels grounded. Shift your weight side to side while maintaining the deep squat and heel contact. If needed, turn your feet slightly outward for better depth.

🔑 to mobility - slow it down, control every inch.

This week’s focus: Thoracic Mobility

1️⃣ Thread the Needle
2️⃣ Open the Book
3️⃣ Thoracic Rotation, Extension, Side Bend with PVC Pipe.

Mobility work doesn’t need to be fancy and doesn’t need to consume a long part of the day. You can make positive changes to your mobility with just a few minutes per day. Motion is lotion 🚀

C2 Mobility Mondays
Each Monday (schedule permitting 😅) I’ll be sharing two mobility exercises to help improve how your body moves.

This week’s focus: Hip External Rotation

Goal is to push each set to fatigue, not failure.
Perform for reps, not long holds

1️⃣ Incline Bench Assisted Pigeon
Two variations here: a forward bend + a med ball chop.
On the chop, hinge and rotate, pause 2–3 seconds, and press the knee into the bench to come back up. You should feel this in the outside glute.
2️⃣ Seated External Rotation
Sit tall on a box, lift the foot, and rotate it toward the midline while keeping the knee at 90°. The foam roller is to prevent compensation of the hip moving out to the side.
