Motivation is unreliable.
Some mornings I don’t feel like working out.
Sometimes I’d rather eat the thing that tastes good than the thing that helps me reach my goals.
Sometimes I don’t want to do the work, make the hard choice, or follow through on what I told myself I was going to do.
If I waited until I felt motivated, I’d be waiting a LOT. 😂
So I’ve learned to stop asking myself, “Do I feel like doing this?”
And start asking:
“Which choice will I be happier I made tomorrow?”
You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to make the right choice every single time.
But there’s something powerful about keeping the promises you make to yourself.
Motivation comes and goes.
Discipline is what carries you when motivation doesn’t show up.
Choose discipline over regret. ❤️

You know when you get so hungry that suddenly EVERY bad food decision sounds like a fantastic idea? 😂
That’s exactly why I’m a big believer in having an emergency snack nearby.
Keep a few easy options in your purse, desk, car, or wherever you tend to get caught hungry:
🥤 A ready-to-drink protein shake
🥩 Beef or turkey sticks
🥜 Individual packs of nuts
🍎 An apple + nut butter packet
🍫 A protein bar
The goal isn’t to snack all day.
It’s to avoid getting to that ravenous, “I will eat literally anything you put in front of me” point.
Because when you’re overly hungry, convenience usually wins.
A little planning makes it MUCH easier to make the choice you actually wanted to make in the first place.
Your 4 p.m. self will thank you. 😉

You don’t have to be healthy 100% of the time to be a healthy person.
Read that again. ❤️
You can work out AND take a rest day.
You can eat a big salad for lunch AND have pizza for dinner.
You can prioritize sleep AND occasionally stay up way too late having fun.
You can take care of your body AND enjoy the vacation, the birthday, the date night, the boat day, and the margarita. 🍹
Health isn’t built by what you do occasionally.
It’s built by what you do consistently.
If 80–90% of your choices support the way you want to feel, there’s room for LIFE in the other 10–20%.
Because the goal was never to create a life where you’re constantly thinking about being healthy.
The goal is to be healthy enough to really enjoy the life you’re building. ❤️

When the sweet tooth hits… but you’re also trying to hit your protein. 🙋‍♀️🍫
This is one of my favorite ridiculously easy options:
🥣 Greek yogurt
🍫 Chocolate protein powder
🫐 Berries
🥜 A little peanut butter
🍫 Optional: a few dark chocolate chips
Mix it all together and you’ve got something that feels like dessert, gives you a solid dose of protein, and actually leaves you satisfied.
One of the biggest mistakes I see people make when they’re trying to eat healthier is thinking everything has to be complicated.
It doesn’t.
Find a handful of easy meals and snacks you genuinely LIKE, keep the ingredients around, and make the healthy choice the easy choice.
And yes… I’m adding the chocolate chips. 😂

I fully believe you should enjoy your life. ❤️

Take the boat day.
Have the dinner out.
Order the drink.
Eat the food.
Make the memories.

A healthy lifestyle shouldn’t feel like you’re constantly saying no to everything that makes life fun.

But I also know myself well enough to know that one fun choice can sometimes turn into all the fun choices… and suddenly I’m way farther off course than I ever intended to be. 😂

That’s why I wanted a visual reminder I would see throughout the day:

Discipline over regret.

Not to stop me from having fun.

To remind me to make the choices I actually want to make.

Maybe that means having the cocktail but skipping the mindless snacking.
Maybe it means enjoying dinner and getting right back to normal the next morning.
Maybe it simply means asking myself, “Is this worth it to me?”

Because I want BOTH.

I want to enjoy the boat days, vacations, dinners, weekends and celebrations…

and I want to feel good in my body and stay committed to the goals that matter to me.

Sometimes a tiny visual reminder is all it takes to keep you pointed in the right direction. ❤️

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds me why I love living at the lake. ☀️🚤❤️

8 hours on the water doing a poker run with some of my favorite people.

Boat rides.
Lots of laughs.
A few stops along the way.
Good food.
Probably too much sun. 😂
And absolutely nowhere we needed to be.

I talk a lot about health, hormones, exercise, nutrition and taking care of your body…

But THIS is part of being healthy too.

Having fun.
Laughing until your face hurts.
Spending time with people you love.
Getting outside.
Making memories.
And occasionally throwing the routine completely out the window.

Because what’s the point of working so hard to be healthy if you’re not going to enjoy the life you’re working so hard to have?

Yesterday was a GOOD day. ❤️

I'm a hormone practitioner.....and I'm telling you that not everything is a hormone problem.
Yes, hormones matter.
But if you're:
✔ Sleeping 5–6 hours a night
✔ Running on coffee until noon
✔ Eating 30 grams of protein all day
✔ Never strength training
✔ Constantly stressed
✔ Scrolling your phone until midnight..no amount of progesterone, estrogen, or supplements is going to make you feel amazing.
Your hormones don't exist in a vacuum.
They're constantly responding to how you live.
Want healthier hormones?
Start by giving your body what it actually needs:
🥩 Eat enough protein.
🏋️ Lift weights 2–4 times a week.
😴 Prioritize sleep.
🚶 Move your body daily.
🍎 Build meals that stabilize your blood sugar.
🧘 Calm your nervous system instead of living in fight-or-flight.
Then, if you're still struggling, let's dig deeper.
That's when we look at thyroid function, cortisol, hormone balance, gut health, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, and the other root causes that may be holding you back.
The goal isn't to blame your hormones.
The goal is to build a body that allows your hormones to work the way they were designed to.

Can we have an honest conversation?
One of the hardest things women tell me is...
"I love my husband. I just never want s*x anymore."
And almost every time, they assume it's just part of getting older.
It isn't.
Low libido isn't simply about romance or attraction.
It can be influenced by:
✔ Declining estrogen
✔ Low progesterone
✔ Low testosterone
✔ Chronic stress and elevated cortisol
✔ Poor sleep
✔ Thyroid dysfunction
✔ Blood sugar imbalances
✔ Feeling mentally and physically exhausted
Here's what breaks my heart...
So many women think something is wrong with their marriage when the real issue is that they haven't felt like themselves in years.
When your tank is empty, intimacy often becomes another item on the to-do list instead of something you actually look forward to.
The good news?
Low libido isn't something you just have to accept.
When we address the underlying causes, many women tell me they don't just get their s*x drive back—they get their spark back.
And that changes more than the bedroom.
It changes conversations.
It changes connection.
It changes marriages.
If you've been silently wondering, "What's wrong with me?"
The answer may be...
Absolutely nothing.
Your body may simply need the support it's been asking for.
❤️ Save this for the woman who's been blaming herself.

Before the walkers come after me...😂
I LOVE walking.
I recommend it to almost every client.
It's one of the best things you can do for:
✔ Heart health
✔ Blood sugar
✔ Stress relief
✔ Mental health
✔ Recovery
✔ Getting outside and moving your body
But here's the part that many women over 40 are missing...
Walking doesn't provide enough resistance to build or maintain muscle.
And after 40, muscle becomes one of your greatest health assets.
Muscle improves:
💪 Metabolism
💪 Blood sugar control
💪 Bone density
💪 Balance
💪 Energy
💪 Independence as you age
That's why I encourage my clients to make strength training a priority 2–4 times a week.
You don't have to become a bodybuilder.
You don't need to spend hours in the gym.
You simply need to challenge your muscles enough that your body says, "I better keep this muscle because she's using it."
So keep walking.
Just don't let it be the only form of exercise you do.
Future you will be thankful.

I said what I said. 😅
If you're a stressed-out woman over 40, coffee isn't breakfast.
And while I love collagen for skin, joints, and gut health...
It's not a meal.
Here's what happens when your "breakfast" is coffee with collagen:
➡️ You're missing enough complete protein to support muscle.
➡️ You're not giving your body the nutrients it needs after an overnight fast.
➡️ You stay hungry, even if you don't realize it.
➡️ You set yourself up to overeat later in the day.
One of the biggest changes I make with my clients is getting them to eat a real, protein-rich breakfast.
Think:
🥚 Eggs with vegetables and fruit.
🥣 Greek yogurt or cottage cheese with fruit and nuts (if tolerated).
🥩 Leftover steak or chicken with sweet potatoes.
🥤 A balanced protein smoothie with at least 25–30 grams of complete protein.
Will this one change fix everything?
No.
But it's amazing how many women tell me they have:
✔ More energy
✔ Better focus
✔ Fewer cravings
✔ More stable moods
✔ Better workouts..just by finally fueling their body instead of surviving on caffeine.
So tomorrow morning...
Drink the coffee.
Just don't let it be breakfast.
