🎒💙 First day of school over here… and somehow, it’s also my oldest son’s NINTH birthday!

Anybody else sending their kids back to school today? 🙋🏼‍♀️ It always feels like such a mix of emotions — excitement, a little sadness, and wondering how they got so big so fast.

And today is extra special for our family because nine years ago, this boy changed the course of my life in ways I never could have imagined.

Bodie was the baby who first inspired me to become a lactation consultant. My experience with him opened my eyes to just how much support families deserve during those early days of feeding and motherhood. What started as a personal journey eventually became a passion, then a career, and ultimately River Valley Lactation. 💙

So much of the work I get to do today traces all the way back to this little boy. I’m forever grateful for the path he put me on.

Happy 9th birthday, Bodie! We love you more than you’ll ever know. 🥹💙

And to all the mamas sending their babies — whether they’re headed to preschool, kindergarten, or another year of school today — I hope you soak up a little extra of them today. They really do grow way too fast. ❤️
