ATTENTION: Long post warning ☺
The photo below is from 2017 when we first moved to Buckeye St. Bare bland walls, but another fresh canvas for us ♥.
It's funny how a decade can go by so fast yet feel like a lifetime. So much has happened with our family in our time here. Our children were little when we opened next to the laundromat. We've watched them grow up. You've watched them grow up. We've watched YOU grow up 😁. We tattooed/pierced kids then tattooed/pierced their kids. None of us are the same people we were in 2015, '16, '17...weve all grown.♥
I'm extremely grateful for my time spent as "South Indy Ink ". The longest we've spent as any shop. From Old School Tattoos in MI to Outlaw Tattoos & Piercing in SD to Twisted Ink and Painted Lady in NC, approximately 5yrs each, Indiana holds the bulk at 11 yrs. 11yrs of ups and downs and side quests 😂. Quite an action packed chapter in my life I'll forever hold dear. 🎢 🙏
Well, what we didn't say in the first post about all this is we got hit on the home front as well. At the same time as the business. After loosing our place on Sycamore in '24, we moved to a place we could take the pets, but the bills were astronomically high. Electric bills of 700, 900, 1300 a month.. it was insane 😲. So we made the decision end of last year to get outta there. Then we got the news we had to move shop and that just solidified the decision. There's just no way we'd of been able to keep up with those bills another year and also move the shop 🤷♂️. So, long story long, we had to handle the home front first. That's why we've been unable to give any definitive answers about "what's next".
I'm happy to say we've handled the home front. So now we can breathe again. Now, it's time to say goodbye to 125 S.Buckeye St. 😔 and yeah, it's breaking our hearts 💔
When I first went to NC, I decided to take a break from tattooing for about 6mo. After a couple of 9-5 gigs, I realized how much I missed and loved the business. 😁 Now it looks like I might need another break. God knows we deserve it after the past couple years. 🙏
So ig that was a long winded way of saying we're at the last week here. Today is the final Wednesday. Ever 😔. We agreed to hand over keys this coming Monday. So, final week, weekend, of our run here.
So with all that finally said and outta my head 😂, if you wanna get tattooed or pierced once more before we close this chapter, nows the time. Were done with business hours so just hit us up or stop in. Idc if 10am or 930pm 🤷♂️ just come see us ☺. Pretty much everything in here is for sale rn. Glass is half off. Tons of jewelry is $1 (like literally tons 😂). Or, just stop in and say "hi"...or, "bye" 😔
We would appreciate it more than you know. We love all of you, even those that disagree with us on things or hate us for some reason. Each and every one of you has added value to our lives in some form or fashion 🙏
We are here. Until Monday, and then, until we meet again. 😭 😔 🙏 💝
