Sunshine was once again delighted to receive a special gift: student-authored children’s books!
A heartfelt thank you to George DeGaetano, faculty advisor for the Creative Writing Club at The Montfort Academy in Mt. Vernon, NY, for bringing his students to Sunshine to personally deliver their work. Our children absolutely love listening to the wonderfully creative and imaginative stories written just for them. The joy, connection, and inspiration these visits bring are truly priceless.
We are so grateful for your continued kindness and creativity!

The Sunshine kids had a great day on Memorial Day. We read stories and talked about honoring all who serve and have served our country. We made coloring pages, participated in Memorial Day bingo, and as the rain passed, and the sun came out, we were able to go out on the playground for some fresh air, fun and bubbles!
