It begins in Gemini season, bringing fast paced ideas, clear conversations, and an upcoming evening pairing of Venus and Jupiter. By mid month, a quiet New Moon offers a subtle reset to adjust your direction.

The Summer Solstice marks the peak of light, a natural turning point before Cancer season shifts the energy inward toward home, rest, and emotional grounding.

Finally, the month closes under the warm glow of the Full Strawberry Moon.

June builds, peaks, and softens.

Pay attention to what is expanding, what needs less focus, and what naturally belongs.

One of the rarest moons is rising over Earth tonight.

On May 30-31, the second full moon of the month will rise, creating what's called a Blue Moon. It's a relatively uncommon event that only happens about once every two and a half years.

After this weekend, another monthly Blue Moon won't occur until December 2028.

But this year's event comes with an extra reason to look up.

As the Blue Moon arrives, all four of the brightest planets visible to the naked eye will also be on display. Before sunrise, Mars and Saturn will shine low in the eastern sky. After sunset, Venus and Jupiter will glow in the west while the full moon dominates the night.

Despite its name, a Blue Moon isn't actually blue.

The term simply refers to the second full moon occurring within a single calendar month. Because the moon takes about 29.5 days to orbit Earth, fitting two full moons into one month is unusual, but not impossible.

The best time to see this Blue Moon may surprise you.

The moon officially becomes full during the early hours of May 31, but many skywatchers prefer watching it rise on the evening of May 30. As it emerges near the horizon around sunset, it can appear larger and take on deep orange and golden colors.

That color comes from the same effect that makes sunsets look red. As moonlight passes through more of Earth's atmosphere near the horizon, shorter blue wavelengths are scattered away while longer red and orange wavelengths continue through.

The planets sharing the sky with the Blue Moon aren't actually close together. Jupiter alone is currently about 365 million miles (588 million km) from Earth. They only appear grouped because of our perspective from the ground.

A reminder that our Intention Jar Craft Night is coming up in less than two weeks on Thursday, June 11th!

This will be the first public event hosted in our space at The Soul Center since opening last September, which makes this one feel extra special.

Join for a relaxing evening of mindful crafting as we create personalized intention jars using crystals, herbs, salts, and sacred elements. Each attendee will also receive a smudge kit to take home.
Everything needed for the experience will be provided. Just bring yourself and your intentions.
