Without a doubt the most higly fennestrated plant in the world a jewel in the plant kingdom. Aponogeton madagascariensis is without a doubt the Holeyest plant in the world. The common name Madagascar Lace plant describes it beautifully. Capable of producing leaves over 50cm long this spectacular plant become so famous that it was poached to the brink of extinction in its natural habitat by plant collectors, and is now considered as endangered in habitat. Its skeletal leaves are truly unique, as is its flowers produced on a stalk of around 1m long.
