We have a hot week ahead! Rest assured, the team at PPDD is prepared. ☀️ Here are some safety measures we take during hot temps to keep dogs safe, cool, and comfortable:
😌We spend time in our large, air conditioned play areas with large fans running for extra air flow.
💦During brief outdoor time, we keep water bowls fresh and cool, pools filled, sprinklers running, and fans blowing.
🥵 Our team is trained in pet CPR and first aid, including how to spot the signs of heat stroke in dogs, and what to do if that situation arises.
🧴We have sunblock on hand for dogs who may need it- Feel free to apply before daycare, too.
❗️Some dogs are more sensitive to heat than others, including brachycephalic breeds (French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Pugs, Boxers) and dogs with thick or double coats (Bernese Mountain Dogs, Huskies, Malamutes, Newfoundlands). We keep a close eye on these pups during hot weather.
Please let us know if you have any questions or need to update your reservations. Thank you and stay cool! 💦
