We have a new name! đź’™

The Illinois Valley Childbirth Collective is now the Illinois Valley Motherhood Collective!

Don’t worry—we’re still the same group, with the same heart and the same values. We’re just broadening our focus a little.

We realized that while pregnancy, birth, and postpartum will always be an important part of what we do, motherhood is so much bigger than childbirth. We also want women who are finished having babies to know that this community is for them, too.

There is so much value in bringing mothers in different seasons together—whether you’re preparing for your first baby, in the thick of raising little ones, or your baby days are behind you. We all have something to learn from each other and something to give.

So, it felt like it was time for a name that better reflected who we want to be.

Same group. Same heart. Just a little more room at the table. đź’™

If all providers were so humble we would be in a much better place!

She is spot on…these are things are common in a hospital birth!! However, thinking about all of this while in labor isn’t always realistic SO hire a doula OR birth in a place that won’t do these unnecessary things!!!

I truly appreciate this community!!! ❤️ You ladies are the BEST! When a mama is in need, you all step up and rise to the challenge with so much generosity and love. It is such a beautiful thing to witness!

My only wish is that we could reach more of the mamas who may not feel able to ask for help or haven’t yet reached out. Please know that we are here for you! You don’t have to walk through a hard season alone. If you or your family are in need, please reach out—we would love the opportunity to help. ❤️

Ladies! Next Thursday, the 23rd, at 6:00 PM, I’ll be hosting a Pelvic Floor Specialist at the Childbirth Collective, and moms of all ages are invited!

I’d love for you to join us—and bring a friend! Pelvic floor health is something so many women silently struggle with, often assuming it’s just a normal part of motherhood. It doesn’t have to be. Come learn, ask questions, and leave feeling informed and encouraged.
