Is My Child Ready to Attend School?

Starting school is about more than academics. It comes with new expectations, routines, and social demands. Before academics even come into play, there are key skills that children need to participate and be successful in a classroom.

In ABA therapy, we focus on the foundational skills that matter most for school, including:

• Listening & attention - following directions and staying engaged in activities
• Communication - asking for help, expressing needs, and interacting with others
• Flexibility - handling changes, waiting, and adapting to new situations
• Social skills - sharing, taking turns, and engaging with peers
