A short list for the end of May.
If your billing team is running 45+ days in A/R, something is wrong upstream.

If denials are over 5%, something in the claim process is broken.
If credentialing for a new hire is still open after 120 days, you're losing revenue right now.

If your admin team is coming in on Saturdays, the workload isn't sustainable.

Any of these sound familiar?

A strategy call with HRG costs nothing. No pressure. No long-term contract. 26+ years of doing this for practices across the country.

Dermatology has one of the highest claim denial rates in healthcare.
14% on average. The industry standard is 5% or less.

That gap isn't a staffing issue. It's a specialty knowledge issue.
A few denial patterns we see repeatedly in dermatology:

Medical procedures auto-categorized as cosmetic and denied
Modifier 25 bundled when documentation doesn't support the separate E/M
Modifier 59 misapplied, triggering audits
Mohs surgery stage-by-stage billing missing supporting detail
Prior authorization gaps on high-cost medications

None of these are fixed with more billing staff. They're fixed with a team that knows dermatology-specific payer rules cold.

HRG works inside ModMed, eClinicalWorks, and your existing practice management system. Every biller is U.S.-based. 26+ years of specialty billing experience.

Today we honor the service members who gave everything for this country.

The cost of that sacrifice is borne by families still carrying the weight today.

From all of us at Healthcare Revenue Group, thank you.

Hospital privileging is where credentialing most often goes sideways for specialty practices.

Missing CV dates. Outdated malpractice documentation. A license copy that needed to be refreshed three months ago.
Small omissions. Long delays.

HRG holds a 100% approval record on new hospital privileges. We also handle reappointments so current privileges don't lapse during the renewal window.

Credentialing done right is quiet. No surprises. No rush packets. No urgent calls from the medical staff office.

A few things to ask any billing or credentialing vendor before you sign:

Who is actually doing the work on my account?
Are they based in the U.S., or handed off overseas?
Can I talk directly to the person managing my A/R?
Are my weekly reviews run by the biller, or an account manager?
Is there a long-term contract, and what are the minimums?

The answers tell you whether you're hiring a partner or subscribing to a platform.

HRG's team is 100% U.S.-based. Your weekly A/R reviews come from the actual billers doing the work. No long-term contract. No minimum term. Invoices go out before charging.
26+ years of this. No offshore handoffs. Ever.

A quick credentialing reality check for urgent care centers.

The typical credentialing process takes 60 to 180 days.

Commercial plans often run 90 to 120 days.

Medicare and Medicaid can take longer.

For urgent care centers onboarding providers regularly, that gap creates continuous revenue exposure. Every new hire triggers another window where an uncredentialed provider sees patients while paperwork moves.
Unlike primary care, there's no established patient relationship to smooth it over. Urgent care is largely one-visit medicine. If a provider isn't enrolled when the claim needs to go out, the revenue doesn't come back.

HRG starts enrollment before the provider's first day. We track application status daily until each payer confirms.

The math on urgent care denials is uncomfortable.
500 weekly claims.
15% initial denial rate.
75 denied claims per week.
$118 average rework cost per claim.

That's $8,850 per week. $460,000 per year. In administrative cost alone.
That number doesn't count revenue written off because appeals missed the deadline. It doesn't count charges never captured in the first place.

Most urgent care billing errors trace back to the same few causes:

Wrong place of service codes
Modifier 25 issues payers scrutinize
NCCI bundling edits missed before submission
Walk-in eligibility gaps caught too late

HRG audits claims before they go out. Clean claims get paid the first time.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

In healthcare, burnout doesn't only come from clinical work.

It comes from admins working nights to chase claims.
From credentialing coordinators juggling 40 applications across 12 payers.
From front desk staff collecting copays while three patients wait.

Administrative burden is a mental health issue in healthcare.

When HRG takes over the revenue cycle work, internal teams get their nights back. They go home when they clock out. They stop carrying the A/R home in their heads.
That matters.

Mental Health Awareness Month is a good time to check in with your team about what they're carrying, and what they shouldn't have to.

Every day an urgent care provider isn't credentialed is revenue you don't get back.
Most centers don't catch the credentialing gap until claims are already denied.
By then, the timely filing window is closing fast.
A few patterns we see across urgent care centers:

New hires seeing patients before enrollment clears
CAQH attestation lapses that delay every major payer
Recredentialing deadlines missed without warning
Claims submitted for providers not yet enrolled

Urgent care credentialing isn't an administrative formality. It's a revenue protection function.
HRG manages it like one.
