We say ‘you are what you eat,’ but that’s not quite right. You’re what you actually absorb...which is where things can get complicated.

When you swallow a supplement, it’s the start of a long obstacle course. It has to survive stomach acid, get broken down, and then pass through your gut wall into the bloodstream.
