🚨 Why do I p*e when I run, jump, or lift?
You're not broken—and you're definitely not alone.

Up to 1 in 3 elite athletes experience urinary incontinence during training or competition. In fact, female athletes are 5x more likely to leak than males, especially during high-impact movements like jumping or sprinting. ⁣

But here’s the kicker👇
➡️ 36% of female athletes report leakage—nearly double the rate of non-athletes.
➡️ 59% of female lifters experience leaking during training.
➡️ Yet almost 70% think it’s just “part of the sport.”
➡️ And less than 10% seek help.

Here’s what the research shows:
🥗 Low energy availability (aka not eating enough) DOUBLES your risk.
🏃‍♀️ High-impact sports increase risk 4.5x.
🧠 And most athletes who leak? Still pushing through in silence.

Let’s break the silence. Pelvic floor dysfunction isn’t just a postpartum issue—it’s a performance issue. And it's 100% worth addressing.

✨ At Elevate Sports Medicine & Performance , we help active women take control of their performance and recovery—including pelvic floor health.

🏃🏽‍♀️ Up to 1 in 10 reproductive-age women have endometriosis—yet it can take years to be diagnosed. This condition occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing:

🔥 Chronic pelvic or back pain
🔥 Pain with exercise or s*x
🔥 Irregular cycles & heavy bleeding
🔥 Fatigue, GI issues, and fertility problems

🚫 Too many athletes are told “it’s just period pain.”
But the truth? Over 70% of chronic pelvic pain cases are endometriosis.

🌿 Research shows that therapeutic exercise & physiotherapy can reduce pain and improve function & quality of life.

✨ The Elevate Sports Medicine & Performance approach uses education, collaboration, and a team-based strategy to empower athletes to take back control of their body, performance, and future.

💪 Movement is still medicine—but strategy is the prescription.

Something I was very adamant about when starting Elevate Sports Medicine & Performance (back then we are Positively Balanced), was that moms should be able to workout. Better yet, their kids should see them workout.
Workouts with my daughter are such a privilege and I'm thankful we have created a space where this is possible!

Still stretching your hamstrings for back pain? Let’s talk.

Here’s the truth:
Tight hamstrings are often a symptom, not the root cause of your low back pain.

When your glutes and core aren't doing their job, your back picks up the slack — leading to tightness, discomfort, and that constant urge to stretch.

But here’s the problem:
Stretching alone won’t fix a stability issue.

Instead, focus on activating the muscles that should be protecting your spine.
This means building strength through glute bridges, bird dogs, core bracing drills, and movement patterns that restore balance and control.

Stop chasing tightness. Start solving the real problem.

"Let it go! Let it go!"
Yup I'm a mom, I had to go there.

But seriously, let it go.

The tension your holding there might be a contributing factor to your:

✨️Low back pain
✨️Pelvic floor pain
✨️Incontinence
✨️Prolapse
✨️Hip pinching
✨️Flat b***y

So do it with me, one two three...
Unclench, soften and relax.

Awwwww yea, there we go. Take a breath! What do you think? Are you a butt clencher?

Track & field season is demanding on our athletes—early morning practices, long meets, explosive sprints, powerful jumps, and the constant push to shave seconds or add distance. As a parent, it’s tough watching them deal with sore hamstrings, tight hips, or nagging pains and wondering if it’s just fatigue or something more.

That’s where we come in, we make sure your athlete:
✔️ Recovers the right way after meets and workouts
✔️ Rehabs smart so small issues don’t become season-ending injuries
✔️ Stays strong, mobile, and confident all season long

Your athlete already has enough to focus on with school and competition. Let us help keep their body performing at its best.
