SP-4 (Gongsun) is located in the depression distal and inferior to the base of the first metatarsal bone, at the junction of the red and white skin (about 1 cun posterior to SP-3).

🔗 SP-4 is the Luo-Connecting point of the Spleen channel, so it "connects" the Spleen and the Stomach. This means it has a strong action of harmonizing the middle jiao.

🤢 That means it can be used for vomiting (rebellious ST qi), diarrhea (SP issues), or poor appetite. It is also used for sudden turmoil (simultaneous vomiting and diarrhea--think food poisoning 🌮).

You can also remember that SP-4 is the opening point of the Chong Mai, which also has a lot to do with rebellious qi.

Constipation happens and hopefully these drinks can help!

When dealing with constipation, finding natural ways to relieve discomfort can be a game-changer. Incorporating specific drinks into your daily routine can help improve digestion and ease constipation. Warm water, for example, is a simple and soothing option that helps soften stool and improves flow, making it easier to pass.

Prune juice is well-known for its ability to relieve constipation. Rich in sorbitol, a natural laxative, it can gently stimulate bowel movements and ease discomfort. Similarly, coffee, while providing a boost of caffeine, can stimulate bowel movements by increasing the speed of digestion. Green tea is another gentle stimulant that offers both digestive support and hydration, helping you stay regular.

Lemon water is an excellent option for aiding digestion and stimulating gut activity, promoting a healthier digestive system overall. Aloe vera juice is known for its ability to soothe and help regulate bowel movements, offering a natural remedy to ease constipation.

Incorporate these drinks into your daily routine, and you'll find that your digestion improves naturally, without the need for harsh chemicals. Stay hydrated and support your digestive health naturally! 💧🍹
