Rosacea is more than just “sensitive skin.” It’s a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can cause persistent redness, flushing, visible blood vessels, bumps, and increased sensitivity.
The key to treating rosacea is identifying and addressing the underlying triggers rather than simply covering up the redness.
A customized treatment plan may include:
• Gentle, barrier-supporting skincare
• Prescription topicals such as azelaic acid, metronidazole, or ivermectin when appropriate
• Daily broad-spectrum SPF to help prevent worsening redness
• In-office treatments, such as lasers, for persistent redness and visible vessels
• Identifying personal triggers such as heat, sun exposure, alcohol, spicy foods, stress, or irritating skincare ingredients
Consistency matters. Rosacea often requires ongoing maintenance, and what works for one person may not work for another.
If your skin is constantly red, flushed, irritated, or developing small bumps, it may be time for a personalized evaluation rather than simply adding more products.
