This week is National Emergency Medical Services Week. 🚑

At the last Daviess County Fiscal Court meeting, May 17-23, 2026 was officially proclaimed as Emergency Medical Services Week in Daviess County in recognition of the dedicated professionals who provide lifesaving care to our community every day.

From first responders and paramedics to dispatchers, nurses, educators, and support staff, EMS professionals play a vital role in protecting the health and safety of Daviess County residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

As we recognize the 52nd anniversary of EMS Week and this year’s theme, “EMS Week: Improving Outcomes, Together,” we thank all EMS personnel for their continued service, compassion, and commitment to caring for others when they are needed most.

We encourage the community to observe this week with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities in honor of the EMS profession and the essential service it provides.
