Today, we honored our Certified Nursing Assistants with a celebration featuring donuts and Tom's coffee truck, which served exceptional beverages. Our residents enjoyed another excursion to the campground, where they participated in a round of Camping Bingo and savored S'mores and muffins. Additionally, they engaged in a creative activity involving fireflies. It was a day filled with joy and appreciation for all.

On Tuesday our administrator and Director of nursing made baked spaghetti, fresh tossed salad, and garlic bread for our CNAs. I think everyone enjoyed the meal! We are very blessed to have these hardworking ladies and gentlemen as a part of our team!
Our residents were busy with playing corn hole and making s’mores and homemade ice cream. Some shared memories with us of when they were children watching their mom make ice cream! Summer camp always has a way to bring out the kid in us all. It was a great time!

We commenced the week with our annual Camping Week and National CNA Week celebrations. Our residents embarked on a bear hunt, followed by a rock painting activity in small groups, which yielded delightful results and showcased their artistic talents.
In appreciation of our CNAs, they were treated to corn dogs, popcorn, and pretzels, with the pretzels being fantastic. The event was well-received by all.

May we have a moment of your time as we would like to recognize our Owen County High School Graduate, Miss Delaney Tabor! Delaney has been our evening receptionist since September of 2025. She has been very dedicated and takes her position seriously! As we hate to see Delaney’s journey come to an end at Owenton Healthcare, we want to wish her the very best of success in her next step!
Delaney plans to further her education at Midway College. Delaney is uncertain at this time what she will major in, but she is certain that she’s not done yet! Delaney…. All your co-workers and residents would like to shout out, “Don’t go chase your dreams, but make them come to life!”
