Vitamin D plays a bigger role in fertility than many people realize because it affects hormones, ovulation, egg quality, implantation, and even s***m health.
Here are some of the main ways low vitamin D may affect fertility:
•Ovulation: Vitamin D receptors are found in the ovaries. Low levels may contribute to irregular ovulation or worsen conditions like Polycystic O***y Syndrome.
•Hormone balance: It helps regulate reproductive hormones including estrogen and progesterone.
•Egg quality: Some studies suggest adequate vitamin D is linked to better egg development and ovarian reserve.
