Watching this healing journey has been such a powerful reminder that modern medicine and holistic medicine do not have to compete they can work beautifully together. When my son suffered a spiral fracture of his tibia, the original care plan involved possible surgery followed by 8 weeks in a cast. After combining proper orthopedic care with an aggressive holistic healing protocol focused on supporting bone healing, inflammation, circulation, nutrition, and recovery… his healing progressed so quickly that his cast time was cut in half. Only 4 weeks instead of 8.But I also want to say this: always advocate for your child. The pediatric orthopedic doctor we were originally referred to is not where I chose to go. I am incredibly thankful to have amazing medical professionals in my life who helped guide me in the right direction, and I knew Dr. Stacy Frye was exactly where we needed to be. Between her properly setting the bone, the incredible casting job she did, and the healing protocol I put together at home, this truly became a team effort and I genuinely believe that’s why he’s healing the way he is. As both a mom and a holistic doctor, I could not be more grateful for her care, her skill, and the reminder that the best outcomes happen when people work together for the child in front of them. 💛
