The daisy holds a special meaning for me because DAISY was the group I was part of during naturopathic school. It was made up of individuals who shared a common passion for natural health, root cause medicine, and helping people find true healing. When I see a daisy, I think of growth, resilience, community, and the beauty that comes from many individuals coming together with a shared purpose.
As I reflect on my journey, I know that who I am as a practitioner today is not something I built alone. I have been shaped by incredible mentors, classmates, and friends in the natural health world. Every conversation, every lesson, every piece of encouragement, and even every challenge has helped me grow into the practitioner I am today.
One of the greatest gifts of this journey has been the people I’ve met along the way. The natural health community is filled with passionate, caring individuals who are dedicated to helping others live healthier lives. I’ve learned so much from those around me, and I continue to be inspired by the knowledge, kindness, and support that exists within this field.
No single practitioner can help everyone. We each bring our own gifts, experiences, knowledge, and perspectives to the table. That’s what makes this work so meaningful. I truly believe there is room for all of us, and I don’t believe we are competing with one another the way some people do. Of course, not everyone in this field shares that mindset, but I’ve been fortunate to experience so much collaboration, encouragement, and genuine support. When we share ideas, learn from one another, and support each other’s growth, we create a stronger community and ultimately help more people heal.
Some of my greatest friendships have come from this journey. I am so grateful for the natural health practitioners who have shared their wisdom, encouraged me when I doubted myself, and reminded me why I started this path in the first place. The love and support I’ve experienced from so many of my fellow natural health friends is something I never take for granted.
At the end of the day, we are all here because we care deeply about helping people. That shared purpose is what connects us and keeps us moving forward.
So here’s to the daisies. To growth. To community. To supporting one another. And to remembering that we all have something unique to offer as we help others heal.
