Progressive Health Group

Progressive Health Group At Progressive Health Group, we saw a gap. Rural communities, rich in spirit but often underserved, deserve better healthcare.

We embarked on a mission: to rejuvenate rural hospitals across our nation.

Funding opportunities are launching soon through Mississippi’s Rural Health Transformation Program.

The first three grant opportunities will support projects focused on:
-Addressing rural healthcare gaps through capital investments
-Expanding telehealth access and capabilities
-Strengthening healthcare technology and infrastructure

Beginning June 1, the state will share information about these opportunities, including eligibility details, funding priorities, and application requirements.

Applications will open June 15 and close July 15. Applications will be reviewed through the end of July, and awards will be released in August.

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Today, we pause in gratitude for their sacrifice and the freedoms we are privileged to have because of them.

Rural EMS response times are nearly 20 minutes longer than the national average, according to a recent American College of Surgeons analysis—and can be even longer for high-acuity emergencies. The study also shows rural patients are more likely to face severe injuries and rely on critical access hospitals for care, highlighting ongoing gaps in access and resources.

These findings reinforce the importance of strong rural health systems and emergency care support.

At Progressive Health Group, our mission is rooted in strengthening rural healthcare access and supporting the hospitals and EMS teams that serve these communities every day.

Happy National Nurses Day! 💙

Nurses are the backbone of healthcare and make up the largest segment of the healthcare workforce in the U.S. They’re trusted, highly skilled, and provide care around the clock—often during life’s most critical moments.

At Progressive Health Group, we are truly grateful for our nurses and the compassion, strength, and dedication they bring to every patient, every day.

Thank you for all you do. We appreciate you today and always.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! 💚

Mental health is a vital part of overall well-being, yet it is often overlooked or misunderstood.

📊 A few important facts:
• Nearly 1 in 5 U.S. adults experiences mental illness each year
• People with untreated mental health conditions are more likely to experience chronic physical health issues.
• Early intervention can reduce severity and improve long-term outcomes significantly.
• Stigma is still one of the biggest barriers to care, but awareness is steadily improving worldwide.

Awareness is only the beginning—understanding, compassion, and access to care are what create real change. Let’s continue working toward a world where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health. 💚

At Progressive Health Group, we are excited to share progress toward reopening the La Grange hospital as soon as June.

Dani Dominguez shared that we expect all necessary licensing to be completed soon. Once licensing is finalized, we will proceed with Medicare enrollment, with the goal of opening shortly thereafter.

We purchased the former St. Mark’s Medical Center property in August of last year and have renamed it Progressive Health of Fayette. After its closure in 2023, we are committed to restoring access to local care by reopening the facility as a Rural Emergency Hospital (REH), providing 24/7 emergency services, observation care, and outpatient services.

We are proud to continue moving this project forward in support of the community.
