Sometimes, helping a patient move forward means thinking outside the box.

Our newest provider at MidSouth, Dr. Buck, shares the story of a patient who suffered life-changing injuries in a plane crash and had lost hope after struggling to find relief.

Dr. Buck took a different approach, using a spinal cord stimulator in an atypical location for this type of treatment. After a successful trial, she experienced meaningful improvement and ultimately chose to move forward with a permanent implant.

Today, she’s had a great outcome given the circumstances of her injuries.

Her story is a reminder that when traditional approaches haven’t provided the results a patient hopes for, exploring other options may open a new path forward.
