Golf Outing Update:

Here at Banbury Cross, we don't like to do things half way. Everything we take on- be it new programming, new policies, fundraisers, etc takes time and planning. We always try to put our best foot forward with endeavors.

In full transparency, we underestimated the amount of time it would take to pull off a new, big fundraiser like this debut golf outing. While we worked hard on the idea and development, we simply ran out of time to have it evolve into the quality of event we strive to deliver. That, combined with lower interest this near the date has forced us to make the difficult decision to cancel the outing for now. Our plan and hope is to re-group and execute a wonderful golf event for next year that we will be proud of and that our supporters will enjoy. For those that did register for this event, the refund process on your tickets has already begun.

We hope to see you at our future event, and appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Despite the gross weather, we had an incredible Annual Horse Show. It may have been a bit smaller, and we may have had to squeeze into the observation room to watch our riders perform. However, the day continued to be all about our riders and program and all their hard work & accomplishments.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers for helping to make the program run smoothly and helped our horses & riders shine. Thank you to all our students & their families for sharing your day with us & allowing us the opportunity to celebrate your growth. Thank you to our incredible staff for working each week to help our students uncover their greatest potential in the saddle.

Thank you to all those who supported our horses for the last few weeks through our Run for the Roses campaign- while our deserving Chip was crowned this years winner, we all know each of our equines is invaluable and it was so heart warming to see the outpouring of love and support for all of them.

A special thank you to Elliott, who worked furiously behind the scenes yesterday handling a mighty nest of wasps that set up residence in our aisle- thank you for keeping us safe!

And a huge thank you to Kasie Jeffery, who took photos of our riders and all the festivities. It was such a busy day, and it’s so tough to capture the moments. We appreciate you spending your day capturing the special moments, and we can’t wait to see them. We’ll share those with everyone when we see them.

Meet one of our Oxford Community Showcase vendors!

Banbury Cross Therapeutic Equestrian Center is a nonprofit organization in Oxford that provides therapeutic riding and equine-assisted activities for children and adults with physical, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive challenges. The center also offers programs for veterans and works with local schools and community organizations to support participants through equine-based programs.
