Trying to figure out if you or a loved one may qualify for Medicaid can feel overwhelming, especially when there are so many factors that can affect eligibility.

Our Medicaid Eligibility Test is a simple place to start.

By answering a few questions about your situation, you can get an initial look at how your circumstances may fit within Medicaid eligibility guidelines. It’s not a substitute for personalized planning, but it can give you a better sense of where you stand and what questions you may want to explore next.

Our CEO, Michael Guerrero, had the opportunity to talk on Veterans Radio with host Jim Fausone about something that matters to so many veterans and their families: understanding the benefits available to them and knowing how those benefits may fit into a larger plan for care.

Michael spoke about VA Aid & Attendance, Medicaid, and some of the common questions families have when planning for long-term care. At Eldercare Resource Planning, this is exactly where we can help. We work with veterans and their families to understand their options, make sense of available benefits, and build a thoughtful plan for the care ahead.

These decisions can feel complicated, especially when you’re helping a parent, spouse, or loved one. Having clear information and experienced guidance can make the process easier to navigate.

We hope this conversation gives veterans and their families a little more clarity as they think about the road ahead.

Caring for a parent can bring some incredibly difficult decisions.

For Cathy, her mom Regina needed more help, but leaving her job to provide that care wasn’t financially possible. At the same time, paying privately for ongoing care could quickly deplete Regina’s savings.

This is the kind of situation we help families navigate.

By looking carefully at Regina’s circumstances and creating a Medicaid plan around her needs, ECR Planning helped the family find a path that allowed Regina to remain at home while Cathy was compensated for the care she was providing.

Every family’s situation is different. But when you’re trying to figure out how to care for someone you love, it helps to know there may be options you haven’t considered yet.

Medicaid rules can be complicated. And when you’re trying to plan for a loved one’s care, it can be hard to know where you even stand.

That’s why we created a simple place to start.

Our Medicaid Long-Term Care Eligibility Test asks a few questions about your loved one’s situation and provides an initial look at whether they may meet certain Medicaid eligibility requirements.

You don’t need to know all the answers before you begin. Sometimes, the first step is simply getting a better sense of what you’re working with.
