Preceptor Spotlight! We would like to recognize Dr. Jason Lorch from Four Rivers Internal Medicine Pllc. Dr. Lorch precepts medical students from UPike KYCOM, and we recently awarded him one of our Community-Based Faculty Development Grants for his outstanding work as a teacher and preceptor. Our Clinical Education Coordinator, Janeen Winters, stopped by Dr. Lorch's clinic recently to present him with his award. Thank you to Dr. Lorch and the staff at Four Rivers Internal Medicine for supporting our AHEC mission and teaching the next generation of physicians!.

Thomas, our maintenance technician, is finally retiring after 14 years with us—though if you know Thomas, you know he’s been “trying” to retire for at least the last 14 years! 😊

He has been such an important part of our team and will truly be missed. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of working with Thomas, you know just how kind, dependable, and genuinely great he is.

Thank you, Thomas, for all your years of hard work and dedication. We are going to miss you so much!
