The breath is behavior. šŸŒ¬ļø
What you’re seeing is a transcription from a live guided breathwork session — and yes, this is ABA. ✨

When I talk about antecedent strategies, regulation, and building a client’s capacity from the inside out — this is what that looks like in practice. Not just a concept. A skill. Taught, practiced, and reinforced in real time.

Behavioral science doesn’t live only on a data sheet. It lives in the body, in the breath, in the moment before the behavior ever happens. That’s what we’re building together.

Families deserve providers who understand the whole person. Who know that regulation precedes behavior. Who bring that knowledge into every session with intention. Clinicians need to know that the science is to be APPLIED. For me, TREEZ is where science meets wellness.

So you may have noticed, I recently asked a question, what behavior are you reinforcing today?

Well, ā€œThe reinforcerā€ is what the breath makes possible. Let me explain…
After completing 24 consecutive days of guiding breathwork, I had a couple of clear defining moments. One of those moments was realizing that Breathwork is not just about the inhale or exhale itself. The real payoff is what happens after.

It’s being able to pause before reacting. Getting through the morning without feeling immediately overwhelmed.
It’s responding to your child with more patience and showing up to work with a clearer mind.
It’s knowing you can/should rest without feeling guilty for slowing down. It’s noticing your body before it reaches burnout. That’s the reinforcement.

A lot of people think regulation has to look dramatic or spiritual to ā€œcount.ā€ But behaviorally, small repeated shifts matter. Tiny moments of regulation change access. They increase the likelihood that we can engage with our environment in ways that actually support us. You don’t need to be a ā€œyogiā€ or know Sanskrit for breath…

The breath becomes an antecedent strategy. A support put in place before the overwhelm fully takes over. Not because we’re weak. Because our nervous systems respond to preparation, rhythm, repetition, and safety.
This is why I keep saying my practice is accessible. You do not need to disappear into the mountains for 10 days to begin noticing change although I welcome it! Sometimes the intervention is simpler than we think.

One intentional breath before opening the email.
One pause before responding in frustration.
One moment of slowing down in the car.
One exhale long enough to tell your body: I’m here.
Over time, those moments shape behavior. They shape how we move through our relationships, our work, our parenting, our healing, and our rest.
The breath itself is not the destination It’s the doorway.

🌿 What has breathing made possible for you lately?

I guided breathwork for 24 days in a row. That’s how long I guided breath work in the hot springs — every single day, on purpose, with intention. Not because I had it all figured out. Because something in me knew it was time to stop leaving my own nervous system without support. What I found surprised me. And I want to share it with you — all of it — over the next 30 ish days. I’m going to try to be on schedule šŸ™ŒšŸæļæ½ļæ½This is the beginning of something I’ve been sitting with for a while. I’m so glad you’re here for it. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned on the journey, to start what I noticed is that behavioral change happens with intentional antecedent strategies not just the desire willpower. I’m talking clear scheduling and reinforcers set up for you to receive success along the way 🌿Tell me — where are you right now with your own practice? Have you tried breathwork before, or is this something new for you?

šŸŒŽEarth Day 2026 in Pagosa Springs ~ Sunday April 26

If you know me, you know… I’m a tea person. šŸ«–
This year, I’m honored to host for the 2nd year in a row the community tea ceremony during Earth Day and this year is centered on the theme: a pause amidst the chaos.

In a world that moves fast, asks for more, and rarely stops… this is your invitation to do the opposite.

To sit.
To sip.
To breathe.
To let the noise settle, even if just for a moment.
Each cup is a reminder that peace isn’t something we find out there—it’s something we allow ourselves to return to.

We gather not just to sip tea, but to ground, to breathe, and to return to what’s real.

We will start at 10:30am šŸµ Come as you are. Leave grounded. Stay for the rest of the Earth Day celebration.
